Detailed Reviews
We had a wonderful 3 nights in late September 2020. Why was it so good?
1. Debbie and Scott were extremely friendly and informative about things to do. Scott popped down to talk us through how to use the fire - unfortunately it was too mild to use it during our stay!!
2. The cabins are VERY clean and well appointed. Great size shower although the bed was a little hard for me. There was milk/bread/jam/butter/cereal ( we took our own fruit ) and the usual shampoo/tissues/shower cap etc in the bathroom plus hand sanitiser. A BBQ on the balcony was very handy. I think there are 4 single cabins and 1 family cabin. Perfect for our group of 4 couples. Make sure u do the walk to the Summit ( on the property). A wonderful view on a cool morning.
3. There is no wi fi and the 4G signal is a bit weak, but ok.
4. So many things to do in Stanthorpe. We did a walk in Girraween National Park ( about 30 minutes drive ). The coffee and food at the Jam factory was very good. We did a wine tasting ( 11 wines ) at Tobin winery. The parmi at Stanthorpe RSL was AMAZING. I also highly recommend the sausages( pork/leek, pork/fetta & the italian sausages) from Stanthorpe Quality meats. They were SO good we went back so we could have 2 BBQs.
WE can strongly recommend 31 The Rocks.

Hey guys, thanks for the great review. We love it when our guests have a great time. You guys certainly went out and about to see as much of our lovely Stanthorpe as you could fit in and then enjoyed the evenings here together watching the sunsets and drinking the night away. Thanks again and hopefully we'll see you all again in the not too distant future.

We stayed at 31 The Rocks for 2 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very confortable and full of lovely little touches to make us feel welcome. The deck provides a lovely spot for great sunset views. A very generous breakfast full of high quality ingredients was provided, and we enjoyed cooking it on the barbecue in the morning, surrounded by lovely nature. Scott and Debbie are wonderful hosts and went out of there way to send back items we had left behind! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything about 31therocks is outstanding from the exceptional hospitality of hosts Debbie and Scott who did everything possible to make our stay memorable as well as the beautifully appointed villas with comfortable beds and the stunning location. Our group of 12 had the best time and enjoyed our facilities, Meeting Bella the beagle and having fun together in the cosy common room. Thank you Debbie and Scott for making our stay so special, we will definitely be back and recommend you to others :))

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property for 2 nights. Located just out of town, it is a fabulous location for exploring Stanthorpe & surrounds. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice as Debbie & Scott are amazing hosts. Upon check in we were provided with maps & recommendations for places to visit which was most beneficial in ensuring our limited time was well spent ! The cabins are immaculate and have everything you require including extra blankets, electric blankets and an abundance of wood for the fireplace ! The complimentary breakfast hamper which includes cereals, condiments, butter, juice, milk and fresh bread was a wonderful inclusion and so greatly appreciated. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and cannot wait to return to spend more time at this wonderful place. Thanks again Debbie & Scott, keep up the good work !

My partner and I had a great time at the end of March. The weather was lovely. The cabin had a good layout. There is also a cabin with ramp access. Our villa had a fireplace, comfortable double bed, and kitchette well stocked with appliances (toast, kettle, pots, etc) and bar fridge with mini freeze. A continential breakfast was supplied with a loaf of bread, locally made spreads, juice, milk, butter, cereals and beverages (tea, coffee, hot chocolate). The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Nights were chilly but there was plenty of blankets. The hosts were welcoming and gave us advice about things to do in the area. There is also a 10 min walk to the granite lookout for sunset which was gorgeous. The only downside was poor phone reception and no wifi (that we saw), however this made us less engaged with our devices! Would recommend for sure

Thank you for your review and for your recommendation, we really appreciate it. We have tried to include everything that you might need for a couple of days away in our Villas. Sadly one of the downfalls of being in regional areas is that mobile services are not quite as good as those available in towns. We do have wifi available at out wifi lounge but not in the Villas. Thank you again for staying with us.

From the the moment you drive through the front gate a sense of calmness enters your soul. A deep breath and your lungs rejoice. We stayed 3 nights in a one bedroom villa that had everything you need. Extremely clean and a very comfortable bed. Will definitely be coming back. A massive thank to the owners for a fantastic time.

Wow, Amanda, thank you so much. I think you were in the best Villa to soak up the surrounding bush and feel like you had the place all to yourself. We are so happy that you had a great time and were able to relax for a few days. Once again, thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

+1
LOVE 31 The Rocks! This was our 2nd visit to this fabulous place - we were wowed after our first visit in 2018. This time around was even better. Debbie & Scott are the consummate hosts who just think of everything to make one's visit smooth & homely, from the fireplace well stocked and ready to go to the sumptuous breakfasts that came with our deal. Lovely accommodation, so clean and fresh. A tranquil place with lovely quirky country touches throughout the property. Love the birds and animals, and the walking track up to fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. A great spot just outside of town but central to everything in the region - wineries, NP walks, food experiences. And my favourite ... daily visits from Bella the Beagle! Thanks for a great long weekend!

We never want to leave our beautiful Villa 5 surrounded by bushland. Every morning we woke to the sound of birds and enjoyed a delicious breakfast including fresh juice and wonderful local honey. Our hosts Scott and Debbie literally met us at the door on arrival and provided us with many fantastic tips, as we had only really researched the wine trails. Thanks to them for example we discovered the fantastic bushranger hideout of Captain Thunderbolt at Donnelly‘s Castle. The villa was immaculately clean and cozy with every amenity we could wish for and we even met Bella the Beagle! There is so much to do in this beautiful part of the world and we definitely chose the best accommodation. Thank you very much dear Debbie and Scott – we will be back! Margaret

We stayed at 31 The Rocks for a long weekend getaway from Brisbane. It was our first time visiting the Granite Belt region, and this was a perfect place to enjoy the cold nights sitting by the wood burner. Scott and Deb were lovely and very accommodating, and obviously take great pride in their property which is exactly as described and pictured in their website. The villa was well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals, and with plenty of wood for the fire. We highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

Stayed here for several nights, which included a light breakfast (cereal and toast). We ran out of some items of the breakfast basket after 1 day (only a tiny amount of butter and 3 toppings supplied). Some items were replaced after asking but not all...and certainly not enough to last our stay. We ended up buying our own supplies 🙄.
On the plus side, the room/cabin was warm and comfortable with air-conditioning and wood heater. Bed comfortable and good roomy shower/bathroom.
Central location - only a few km into town.
Wine tours pick up from this place.
Bonus was their on-site walk up to a delightful lookout above the property. Good walk but watch the kids...no safety fences.
