Whilst we were travelling as a couple we got the last available room which was a family room. We only paid the rate of the standard by booking direct with the hotel and the seperate bedroom was closed off. The room was in the corner where the two wings of the hotel meet. There was a bit of a courtyard, table and 4 chairs to sit out side. The room was a good size with fully equipped kitchenette. Bathroom modern also a good size. We had a comfortable stay. Wifi was free but didn’t work that well - probably due to the position of the room in the corner. The motel is on the fringe of town, in the main road in but our room was well back from the street and very quiet.

We arrived early and received a great welcome. The room was very comfortable and very clean and affordable. The surrounds were well kept and clean. It was the little things that impressed like the windscreen cleaning gear near reception.

I stayed here for a number of days for business, all staff were friendly & approachable. Keith & Julie made sure I had everything I needed as did the cleaning staff. The meals were amazing & generous. They were more than happy to tweak the menu slightly to suit my dietry needs.
I highly recommend this to anyone visiting St George for both short or long stays.

Clean and comfortable room even if it is showing its age a bit. The location is not ideal being positioned on the main road heading in to St George, but my room was set well back from the road so noise was not a big issue. The restaurant is quite good, pricing on par with most country hotels. Disappointed how many times I have had to ask the owners to provide me with an invoice. It should have been sent on checkout, I am still asking more than a week later.......and still waiting for the invoice at the time of writing this. Very irritating when you are trying to reconcile company accounts and invoice clients for your expenses.

I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay in this very pleasant little motel. Nestled in amongst a string of highway motels, this one is certainly worth choosing. The room was beautifully maintained, with excellent furnishings and equipment. The owners obviously take great pride in their place.
There is excellent wifi available, and parking directly outside your room.
Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open while I was there, but there are excellent places to grab food within easy walking distance of the motel. The owners were very pleased to offer suggestions as to where to go.
I can recommend a walk along the river, which is a block away from the motel. There's a really nice walking path that runs for quite some distance - quite lovely in the cool of the evening.

I was supper excited to stay here with so many positive reviews from family . It did not disappoint! Unfortunately I checked in too late to have one of their amazing meals that everyone has raved on about. But the room was great one of the best showers of my life with the amazing water heat and pressure In room 24. The owners really made my little girl and I feel welcome a very homely reception.

I have just been to St George Qld for a week working.
I was booked into the Riverland Motor Inn and in 40 years of travelling for work this would be the cleanest, friendliest place i have ever stayed.
Another bonus is that their restaurant Rivers is fantastic. I worked my way through the menu and every meal was sensational. Coming from Melbourne where we hundreds of great restaurants, this Rivers is as good or better. The chef Luke is a great at his craft and St George is lucky to have him.
The owners Julie and Keith were delightful as well. They run a top class Motor Inn and great people as well.

Not a modern establishment but good size room with lots of bench space. Only complaint is that the shower tap was very stiff and hard to adjust. Water pressure was just adequate. Breakfast in the room was good value.

Riverland Motor Inn was excellent our room was spacious and very comfortable and quite. They have a beautifully appointed restaurant on site with a A La carte menu.
The owners were very helpful and offer sites and place to visit in the St George and surrounding area.

A small group of us stayed recently and were really impressed with this neat, tidy and very pleasant country motel. The food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast, the hospitality delightful! The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The air con was spot on, relief from very hot weather. Will definitely stay at Riverland next time we visit!

We would say probably yes but in this day and age of cashless society most folks use cards in Australia. Ring them up and ask.
