Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the proximity to the river (across the road) & the town, to the lovely grassy site, impecable amenities and an outstanding host/owner (Ivan), River Gum Tourist Park ranks right up the top of all 'van parks we've ever stayed at.

I liked that the park is not too big, showers were very clean & hot, laundry reasonably priced and it was nice to have grass beneath our feet. Ivan was the perfect host, ready with a smile & a "G'day" and happy to help.

Thoroughly recommend taking the time to explore the beautiful St George with River Gum as your base.

This is a small park and the sites follow suit. My 7.5m RV was a tight squeeze. It is nothing special but the staff are delightful and the location is superb, just a short walk from two supermarkets, a convenience store and pubs.

It has a heated pool but it is very small. I imagine there is a limit on concurrent usage. I did not go in so I don’t know. The amenities block is clean and functional. Hand soap in dispensers is on the table. Every afternoon there is a happy hour fire. There is a caravan coffee shop open mornings and evenings.

The dump point is curiously located between two cabins.

Room Tip: It might pay to book ahead. I arrived about 3.30pm on a Tuesday and got the last site.

We arrived in town mid afternoon and chose this park for its location and value. Overlooking the Balonne River and riverwalk, it provided a lovely outlook and large spaces for unpowered campsites. The amenities were basic but clean, with good vanity spaces and power points. It provided all we needed for an overnight stay, and we enjoyed evening and morning riverwalks. Thank you St George.

This is a really nice, quiet, clean park. It's the closest park to the winery (2km) and it's right near the Riverwalk and boat ramp. The staff were lovely too. They gave us good information about the area and things to see. Our unpowered site was perfect for tent set up.

We enjoyed a grassed powered site close to amenities. The park has a mix of cabins and sites and is located a little way out of town. Amenities are well maintained and grounds are well tended. There is a pool which is heated ? A good spot to spend a few days and sightsee around the area

Great location, we were off peak so very quiet. Friendly owners, lovely clean amenities. The Balonne river on your doorstep. And an easy drive to the local winery and walk to the town centre. Great stay.

Nice, clean and quiet park in a great location near the weir/River and close to town. Friendly staff, clean facilities and nice size sites. Some shady sites but nice and level and a good size. Due to the heat in summer, could probably do with a pool but otherwise, great park.

Heaps of grass and ammenities quite good.
Quiet at night.
