Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Three of us (two adults and one child) stayed in one of the newer cabins. This is an attractive tourist park, with large green trees and a lovely windmill, very centrally located on the main road into town, almost directly opposite the info centre and Big Rig - a popular tourist attraction. It is within walking distance of good pubs and restaurants and the cabins have most everything one would require, including aircon.

The only negative was the cleanliness of the cabin. The linen was crisp and white but the bed cover was so obviously stained. The floors were grubby, particularly behind the toilet and under the sink, skirtings etc. It appeared the floor hadn't been cleaned properly in ages. The sponge in the kitchen sink was so old & dirty so we tossed it immediately and while one is supposed to wash their own dishes, there was no teatowel provided. Layers of thick white dust atop all the curtains simply needed a vacuum. Don't know how anyone can miss these things, but maybe we are just fussy. Luckily we had our disinfectant wipes!!

If you don't mind a bit of grub, this place otherwise meets most requirements and is in a perfect location.

Booked last minute into a studio room. Paid $130 then realised they are on wotif and charge $120. I asked for the same price but was told no I'd have to book online as it has nothing to do with them. So, started off feeling ripped off. Went out the back to the studio and realised it was a fancy shipping container. Inside was nice enough, but there was no wifi. I had specifically asked if there was wifi before I checked in and was told 'yes, but it is a little hit and miss'. Decided to get a $30 refund and move to the budget room at the front of the property. Again, no wifi but the receptionist then decided to tell me it was down and a few hotels were having problems. When I went into the office 10 minutes later, the other lady told me they had no idea it was playing up. So someone was lying. Anyways, the budget room was ok for $100. It is as advertised, budget. 2 single beds, kettle, small fridge. Loud trucks go past most of the time.

Thank you for leaving feedback. Both positive and negative feedback is invaluable as it helps us to rectify any problems that our guests feel need to be addressed. Booking online is a requirement to obtain special rates from some travel websites, e.g. Wotif who offer 'exclusive' deals where they are required to be cheaper than even the accommodation business that they are selling.. Your tip to request to view the room types before booking is a valid one and was offered but declined. The receptionist was correct in regard to the Wi-Fi saying that another establishment had recently encountered some log-in problems however the Manager herself had not received any previous complaints regarding access at the Roma Aussie. In all fairness to the staff, the minute your connection problem was made known, a call was made, in your presence, to the Internet Provider concerned in the hope of resolving this issue . .. we honestly regret that the problem could not be identified and rectified immediately for you. Once again thank you for the time in submitting your review...

We were a family of 4 traveling through staying one night in a cabin with bunks. The unit was pretty small with 4 people in it but for a overnight stay getting in late and leaving early, it was fine. The staff were pleasant enough. I was concerned about traffic noise but it wasn't too bad. I would recommend for short stay.

We paid for “Standard Studio, Non-smoking, Balcony (RATP – Studio)" @ $95.
There was no wifi (advertised as “free wifi to the room” however its only available in the office).
There was no balcony (advertised as “Private balcony”- there's only a common area walkway with no seating).
Our tiny room (3.5m x 3m) was provisioned with a double bed, 1 tattered, wobberly office chair (the only seat in room), 1 small study desk which is the ONLY flat surface to put your things on. There was no space for luggage (ex on floor -tripping hazard)
The TV had no reception. (although it was advertised as having “cable channels”)
The fridge is a drink fridge only so no ice or ice maker and it leaked water and it has a blue fridge light internally which glows through the glass door all night illuminating room. The combined noise from both the fridge and the air con means a peaceful sleep is difficult.
The shower door didn’t close so bathroom floor gets soaked during showering and the shower was coming away from the wall (and didn’t fully walk properly anyway)
Only ventilation through front door as there was no windows.
There were no extra pillows and no complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner etc in shower.
Parking is too far from room and lighting at night (from parking to the rooms) is pathetic.
I would have demanded a full refund in the morning but the office was unmanned at 9:00 am when we departed.

I believe that volitans54 stayed in the same room we did last night :( Description fits perfectly, including the shower door that doesn't close. Tatty chair, too large for small space, nowhere to put your stuff. One cup and one glass (which had milk or medicine residue in it), and this was for a couple. Yes, a big shower, but a hand-basin the size of three postage stamps. Frosted glass on large doors between bathroom and bedroom not a good idea. Dread to think what it's like in rain, since you have to carry luggage up and down two lots of steps. Never again.

We were wanting a self contained cabin and made a reservation via phone after a detailed
conversation about the cooking facilities. After checking in we found that we had been
misled (lied to) on a couple of points, which was very disappointing. But it got worse.......
The whole cabin needed a clean, but the beds were downright disgusting!!!!
Particularly the bunk beds which were covered in a thick coating of dust and hair..... Yes HAIR!
Everything else was ok except the queen bed was the worst I have ever tried to steep on and
the cancellation policy is the strictest I have come across (no wonder) and I found out later that
they charged a deposit on the credit card when we booked without even telling us or giving
any indication that they were going to. Very unprofessional.......

Great service and ease of stay made this business trip great.
Gary’s customer service was great.
His attention to his guests was great..
very accommodating, the facility is close to all major places we needed to visit.

Ease of check in and check out was great, we did have to call for Gary to come but this took not even 5 mins.. overall great experience

Having just driven from Perth a 21st century style accommodation with everything I needed in a quiet location is tops. Extremely helpful staff, awesome.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else after this.
I always like my expectations to be exceeded. This facility went beyond that.
Nice work team...!

Thank you for your very useful feedback. We carried out a check on the Heat Lamp & Air Con and found both to be working efficiently however what we realized is a need for signage that will assist with the proper operating instructions for these items. The faulty hair dryer has been removed and we have contacted RACQ (AAC) in relation to the incorrect rates in their latest book... whilst these cannot be amended at this time, the correct rates are now posted on their website..... thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention.

Have stayed in these cabins on two trips through Roma now. They are comfy, clean and the service was good. On our first trip we had two vehicles (one towing a trailer) and the owner came out an assisted us to park the trailer under cover beside another empty cabin. This is on the highway, but there is not much road noise if you are in the cabins at the back.
