Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Management seem very polite, cabin for a family is on the smallish size but adequate. Pool is nice and children loved it but the restriction on non glass alcohol I thought was a bit much. Location is on the northern edge of town near the showgrounds and not far from the airport, however there is nothing close for convenience goods unless you want to go to a very expensive store next door. We have stayed here before and would again.

We stayed one night in drive through site. Easy drive through with good gravel some with slab. We have stayed at 29 different sites between Armidale - Port Augusta - Uluru - Darwin - Roma. This park has the cleanest most roomy amenities block I have seen. The new owners have gone the extra mile with providing bath mats, paper towels and sanitizer in the toilets. A lovely scent when you enter. Broken Hill was good but attention to detail absent. Leanne

Well let me tell you that this park is quiet, friendly and the young new managers are exceptional.
Nothing was too much trouble, they were quite happy for us to have a look around and we picked our suite an ensuite power site for 5 nights. Plenty of grass/ concrete slab sites and somegravel drive throughs.
This park had a good feel and even though we copped some wet cold weather we enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.
New managers are great. They took over at the start of 2022.

Our pet friendly cabin had not been mopped, floors were filthy. Advertised provided toiletries were 2 slivers of soap. No hand towel or washer. Cooktop and griller were wrapped in foil to cover unclean surfaces, which were totally useless for preparing a meal. Checked the BBQ in front of our cabin to find a rusted, warped bbq plate which was also useless. There were no bins in the park for rubbish (including dog refuse-bags). The plumbing requires attention as turning on the hot water tap caused an intolerable squealing in both kitchen and bathroom. The cost (with an added $30 for our small dog) was un-realistic, We had to wash the dogs feet before putting her on her bed, because of the dirty floor and pay for the privilege. We don't normally complain and we've stayed in lots of pet friendly accommodation but we had to for the benefit of others.

We'd pre-booked a powered en suite site for our caravan, ourselves and our dog. On arrival, I was charged $50 for one night, despite having been quoted $48 over the phone. It didn't seem enough to make a fuss about, then. We set up, and after having something to eat, we decided to have showers. We were not very happy to discover that the cold tap in the shower was completely inoperable. I called the office number on my booking confirmation, but only got a recording. I left a message, stating the problem, and saying that I'd want to discuss some form of refund, as you normally expect working showers in an en suite, especially at that price. I didn't get a call either that evening or at all since then (now 3 days ago), so clearly they felt it was too much trouble. I'd intended to speak to them in the morning, but we checked out at 8.30 and saw the office didn't open till 11.00am! We won't be staying there again. It was virtually deserted when we were there, and perhaps given the pricing and customer service, that's not so surprising.

We were shocked at the cost of a pet friendly cabin at this caravan park. We were a couple travelling with two whippets. We were charged $170 for one night in a cramped, smelly, worn, badly maintained and noisy en-suite cabin right next to the highway. We stayed in dog friendly accommodation in Capella ($130), Gilgandra ($90) and Ingham ($150). All these were clean, spacious, quiet and well maintained motel rooms!

Clean and tidy BUT noisy air con box. Trucks roaring past. Water tank refilling outside every five min. And if you dare to leave dishes out you will be charged $30 cleaning fee” no exceptions “ above my bed 😂😜head a sign “pick up after your dog at all times” I should of asked to view first!

We recently stayed for 2 nights on our 17 day trip in outback Queensland. This was by far the worst! Filthy and they advertised pet friendly and charged $50 per night for our medium size dog! - nowhere else did this happen on our trip.
I emailed and complained and asked for refund for pet charges and did not get a response.

Thankyou for your non constructive review but rather a subjective slander of our business. Thankyou for using this forum to fabricate a totally untrue critique of our park .

Being disabled and needing my assistance dog with me I decided to opt for the pet friendly stay in Roma rather than the usual motels. My mistake was not asking the price. I thought staying on a campsite in a cabin would be cheaper than the usual motels we book for business. Unfortunately at $172.50 a night that isn’t the case, especially when I saw the cabin. They look lovely from the outside in beautiful landscaped gardens but that’s when it stops. The cabins are like something from the 50’s/60’s. Maybe it’s because it’s a pet friendly cabin it’s like that and they don’t feel the need to upgrade, however, I would expect the price to reflect that.
The cabin backs on to the main highway so if you are a light sleeper the trucks going past 24/7 will probably keep you awake.
Reading through other reviews on the cabins (if camping the reviews seem to be 5 star) it seems everyone thinks the same and unfortunately they are met with a tirade of abuse in response to constructive criticism. I expect my post will be no exception.

1 star was over rated.
The way my partner and I were treated this morning was bsolutely disgusting. We were asked if we had a problem with this park my partner answered yes bathroom was not cleaned yesterday properly . The owner then proceeded to accuse us of writing a negative review, which we did not the owner then started to remove our water hose and power supply and demanded we leave the park immediately. I suggest if this owner is going to ask about his park and can't accept negative constructive criticism why ask.
Camp kitchen filthy, bathroom not cleaned properly, laundry filthy and washing machine dirty agree with the negative review by another camper.
Check reviews prior to staying.

Hi Kim and Stuart, Your behavior whilst in the park was to say the least disgraceful hence why you were asked to leave. The photos you have put on this forum were the result of you taking them late in the evening on a very busy night instead of shortly after the facilities had been cleaned. You are both pathological liars as evidenced by your wiki camps review that you claim you never did but yet the same pictures are uploaded here and google. Every other review on all forums say how clean and tidy this park is so we can therefore assume there is an issue your end and judging by the behavior displayed by the pair of you it may be a mental health issue. Please do not visit us again.
