We stayed overnight here on the first night of our road trip to Longreach. The hotel is simple to find and in easy walking distance to fast food or local dining options plus the two local supermarkets. The room itself was clean, reasonably spacious for two guests, well presented and contained all the expected basic necessities for on-the-road travellers. The bed was comfortable and the shower's water pressure was pretty good. There is undercover parking directly in front of each room & it was nice and quiet being situated off the main street. The pool area looked clean and inviting. The property is definitely not on the newer side, but it has been maintained well and cosmetically updated over the years. We had an easy check-in and out by friendly staff. There is a small tourist brouchure section in the reception area...it would be helpful for late arrivals to town, if this could possibly be more widely stocked with local information of attractions etc both in Roma and in the surrounding towns....not a big deal, just a suggestion.…
After a few long days on the road this spot was a welcome relief. We had 2 nights. A good, large room - fitted 3 well. Good shower/bathroom and comfy beds. Very well located for town - walk everywhere. Easy quick drive to Big Rig and Cattle Yards. Wifi etc and amenities. Safe and clean. We spent one day at Mitchell for the hot springs. Awesome - easy drive. Ate at two very good spots in Roma - pub and chinese. Some good walks - eg to the Baobab tree display and other spots of interest. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
One of cleanest motel rooms we’ve stayed in. Up-to-date and well-maintained rooms. Close to town centre, walking distance. Would highly recommend. Very friendly when checking in. Everything looked so professional and clean. Would definitely stay there again.
Stayed 27 May. Rod and Judie are wonderful hosts and so welcoming. A lovely country town motel, very comfortable, spotlessly clean updated room and bathroom. Handy parking in front of room and we stayed in #20 at the front of the motel and there was no road noise. Very close to walk to shops and pubs for dinner. Judie and Rod couldn't have been more helpful and we spent quite a while chatting with them on check in and the next morning. Judie offered great suggestions for dinner and breaky. We only had such a short visit to Roma and when we pass through again will definitely stay at this little gem of a motel, even if was just to catch up with Rod and Judie as we felt like we were leaving good friends when we left! Thank you again
Great place if stopping over in Roma. Fantastic position so that you can walk to everything and the hosts were fabulous, so friendly and willing to assist with your needs. Rooms were a great size and the linen was of good quality. Whilst the rooms are air-conditioned it is where they are positioned in the room a fan would be nice to circulate the air. I found the mattress was probably due to replacing. I really liked we could park outside our room, so good when travelling. Loved they had a microwave in the room and complimentary water. See you next time we are in Roma.
Lovely central Motel. Parking in front of room. Everything you need for overnight stay. Close to town centre with great pubs and restaurants. Very clean and spacious room. We enjoyed that we could walk down to Main Street for our meals or if wanted fast food outlets nearby also.
Midtown Motor Inn is in a central position in Roma handy to shops, restaurants and hotels. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we had everything that we needed for our two night stay. It was handy to be able to drive our car up to the door of the room and we appreciated having a microwave as well as the usual fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. It was chilly when we were there so we also appreciated the air conditioning! It was also very quiet and there was no road noise. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Roma.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Very clean, super friendly / helpful lady at reception. Bed was comfortable and great pillows. Would recommend and stay there again if visiting Roma. Great position and walking distance to town and shops.
Clean comfortable motel that has no outstanding features other than a great location. Centrally located in Roma and within easy walking distance to all conveniences. Off street parking is an advantage.
A more expensive motel in town but we were happy to pay extra for the convenience of being close to the main street however regretted our decision as soon as we lay down, pillows as hard as rocks, I ended up sleeping without one. Very uncomfortable mattress left us both with sore hips and knees. We both woke up headachey and grouchy. Not entirely the motels fault but after a couple of weeks work we were hoping to sleep in on the weekend, unfortunately we were right next door to workmen leaving at all hours from 4am, there were plenty of empty rooms just unfortunate management grouped us all togrther at one end. In future I would take our own pillows and ask for a room away from other guests.
