Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed a lovely welcome from Meg, Kylie and Brian at their beautiful homestead, then drove a few kms up the road to stay with our teenagers in the shearer's quarters. The bird watching and star gazing were second to none, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to self cater. We found it a great spot to relax, and enjoyed taking walks and short drives around the property for wildlife spotting. We’d love to return one day.

Fabulous homestead. The owners shared their home & property with our group of 6. Were very generous with their time, food & wine. Had 2 hikes which gave us an idea of the property. One ended with a spectacular sunset view & drinks, the other ended with a beautiful picnic lunch beside the creek. Felt like we were one of those groups in a Country Living magazine.

My elderly mother, two other older girls and myself have just returned from a three night stay at Moble. Brian, Kylie, Meg & Lachie were the most wonderful hosts. I especially thank all of them for their care and attention to my mother who has mobility issues. Moble is a truly beautiful spot and my mother has wanted to visit there for some time. The wait was worth it. Great food, great company, great venue, what more do you want?

If you want to see the outback/farm, then go to Moble Homestead, Kylie and Brian are the owners of the property, and are probably some of the most hospitable people you will find.

We stayed in the Garden Room. We had our own bathroom, which had a shower and bath, the bed was of a good size, and we had 3 good nights sleep.

Breakfast, lunch (we paid for the lunch option) and dinner was of a very high standard, and we ate at the family table, so we felt part of the family.

We took time to explore the property ourselves, but we were also taken on a muster, out to see a Coolamon tree, and in the evening taken to a ridge to see sunset. We also got to see where the Duracks and Costellos camped when they arrived in Qld. Great to see after reading Kings in Grass Castles. The bird life was fantastic and the homestead garden a lovely oasis.

The outback is special and so are the people, go do it, go see Australia, go to Moble.

After driving through the Outback for days, it was an amazing experience to stay overnight with my father at Moble Homstead.

Our hosts Kylie and Brian have a truly spectacular property just outside of Quilpie and make their guests feel right at home. Kylie treated us to some delicious meals with the highlight being lunch and drinks served overlooking their lush garden while Brian gave us a great tour of the property providing us fascinating insights into how they manage such a large station.

The accomodation itself is stylish and comfortable and Kylie and Brian went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay - in fact it was almost hard to make my father leave!

We could not recommend a stay at Moble Homestead more highly. Kylie and Brian’s property is a true Outback Oasis - we will hopefully be back soon!
