The Billabong Motor Inn is a 21 Unit Motel and has beautiful landscaped gardens in a quiet setting. All units are on the ground floor and provide air conditioning, FREE Wifi and flat screen T.V.s, Undercover parking outside the units and plenty of space for large vehicles. There is also a Guest laundry. The Motel has one disabled unit, Two 2 room family rooms with microwaves and Four executive rooms with sink, microwave, cutlery & crockery for self-catering. Guest laundry facilities are also available. The Billabong has an excellent licensed restaurant with air conditioned dining room or al fresco accommodating up to 70 diners. Specialising in superb steak & chicken snitzel supplied by our local butcher, succulent seafood and other delicious dishes. Meals are available every night for motel guests via the restaurant or by room service. The majority of the Motel was refurbished in 2013 and offers clean, comfortable accommodation & friendly old fashioned service.

We discovered this place after having to do an emergency landing at the local airport due to bad weather. The owner was great and personally came and picked us up. Penny the owner got the spare bed ready for my son and was there to serve us drinks with dinner and also brought a cooked breakfast to the room at 7:30am with her husband. Fantastic service, good food and the rooms were very clean and the beds warm and cosy. 5 stars and thanks again for looking after us.

We enjoyed a comfortable, overnight stay at the Billabong which we found easily on the way into town. My husband needed easy access to the room & shower due to using a mobility aid.The owners were very accommodating and made sure we had the amenities we needed. The property is a credit to the owners and operators. Units are well laid out, with plenty of lawns around them, so there is a real country feel. Lawns, gardens and buildings were immaculate. We dined at the restaurant, which was very reasonably priced, and enjoyed the experience. This was the last stop of our big road trip, and it was the most welcoming and relaxed stay. Highly recommended.

A quick one night stay in a King room, we were pleasantly surprised. Clean room, bed was comfy, staff friendly. We did not have an opportunity to utilise the restaurant or in-room breakfast but it looked very inviting. The shower rose is fixed and not ideal for a short person, would love to see a hand held option as well. Excellent price. Thankyou for a great stay!

Very clean room and a good size. The room was in an area that was very quiet no road noise. the bed was comfortable, we had room service for dinner which was lovely after a long day driving. The meals were good and not a long wait and they were nice and hot.

Michelle was very welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. The room was really comfortable, warm and clean. Our car was under a covered carport with access via the back of the room, so really handy on a wet evening. We ordered room service for dinner and the food was home cooked with more than sufficient portion size, delicious and delivered with a smile. Breakfast was also excellent, cooked beautifully and nice and hot. We were wishing we could have stayed another night. True country hospitality at its' best. Best wishes to you both. Very friendly and helpful managers who were great hosts. Our King Room was clean and modern with a comfy bed and a quiet air-conditioner. They gave us a mini bottle of fresh milk at check-in which was great for a cuppa. Parking was under a carport which was right outside the room along with alfresco chairs and table. Room amenities included coffee, tea, crockery (including wine glasses), cutlery, kettle, toaster and fridge along with chairs at a desk, luggage rack and big TV. Their restaurant was just as good. Would certainly return!

Arrived late for work, very friendly staff with checking in late and organising dinner for me which was brought to my room which was delish.
Rooms exceptionally clean, highly recommend either for recreational while exploring national parks or just stopping over. Rooms have everything you need.

Teena and her husband went out of their way to accommodate us as much as possible. We arrive quite late due to a terrible storm, and despite the late hour, they cooked us a delicious meal. We had two small dogs with us, and the room they provided faced onto a grassed area for the dogs to toilet and walk around. Breakfast was simple, but right on time. This was a good overnight stop. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was okay with everything you would normally expect. Car parking was undercover. The restaurant provided an adequate evening meal. Not a lot of choice on the menu. In house Wifi was very slow, 1.76 mbps so resorted to phone tethering.

The manager of the Billabong Motor Inn is unable to contact Trip Advisor to find out why they are saying there are no vacancies. Trip Advisor do not provide a telephone contact number anywhere on it's website and Telstra are not able to provide one either. Very poor service.
There are more places to choose from in the Mundubbera area.
