A tropical vibe permeates this cute little motel in Mossman. I was upgraded to a Garden Queen Villa and was impressed by the giant room size and comfortable lounge area (where I watched the Australian Open with the aircon cranked up). The room is surrounded by tropical gardens with exotic plants & flowers and backs onto cane fields creating a wonderful tropical vibe. The aircon worked well which was important as it was very hot and steamy when I visited in February. There is a lovely pool for swimming with lush landscaped areas for relaxing and a rock waterfall. Covered car parking is also provided.
The Mossman town centre is a 2 minute drive away - I had signed up for a river drift snorkeling tour of Mossman river and the meeting point was in town. I wouldn’t recommend walking in summer as it’s a 15 minute trek and you’ll melt in the heat. Mossman Gorge is close by but also not walking distance.
There are a few decent cafes open in Mossman for breakfast but there was nothing open for dinner (the Exchange Hotel was shut for reno’s) so I drove into Port Douglas which is only 15 mins away.
Only negative which almost made me drop my rating - the free wifi didn’t work at all & while I was ok using my prepaid data it’s something for the team to address for future guests.

Had a one night stop before we went off to Mossman Gorge. Easy to find, only a very short walk or drive to Supermarket too for supplies. Room was large, air conditioning struggled to cool room, but not surprising as it was 36 degrees outside and the cabin was large! Bed was fine. Cabin came with sitting room and small kitchenette which was nice.Bathroom was fine. The only thing to be warned about is the location. You cannot walk to Mossman Gorge or the Info Centre from here like it says in the property information on some sites. It's far too hot and too far. Mossman is nice enough and has all everything you need. Didn't use the pool so can't comment. Price was very competitive. Parking was easily available.

We stayed 2 nights in a well appointed LARGE Villa with separate living space. Note that the kitchenette has no cooking facilities, except for a toaster and microwave, but the communal kitchen has everything you need and more. Pool was large and relaxing with a spa and loads of seating options right next to the kitchen. Will definitely stay here again!!!

We spent three days here to explore Mossman Gorge and the Daintree. It is a great location and walking distance in to town to visit Woolworths for supplies, have coffee at the very good Junction Cafe and eat at the very good local Thai restaurant. The property is extremely well equipped, clean and the surrounds very pleasant.. The owners are friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend.

We called late and there was no problem in assisting us. Great parking and nice cabins.
There is a central swimming pool and cooking area for those who want to self cater.
We walked to the Bowls club for dinner in tropical bliss.
The managers are great hosts and live the area - so gave us great advice.
We will stay again when we come this way again.

This was the best place for a family holiday. We were an extended family and the owners treated us so well, helping to accomodate 4 separate families. Throughout our time here, we experienced comfortable, spacious accomodation, friendly staff and a great swimming pool. The location is perfect to access all the great experiences North Queensland has to offer. Mossman Gorge close by. Only 20 minutes to Port Douglas for reef tours or a night out. We have really happy memories of our week here.

What a little gem on the outskirts of Mossman but close enough by car to the gorge. Stayed two nights and happy we did even though it was a small town and nothing to do other then visit the gorge. Our cabin was spacious, clean and well positioned near a relaxing pool. The gardens were immaculate and wished I had a garden like it at home. Anyone thinking about staying in Mossman for a night or two while visiting the Mossman gorge this is the place for you. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location to explore Mossman Gorge & Port Douglas area, beautiful villas perfect for our needs 2 x DB villas for friends sharing. Very clean, great amenities beautiful pool, bbq area & communal kitchen which we used both nights. Friendly helpful staff that even serviced the villas which was a lovely surprise for a 2 night stay.

A lovely setting with really well appointed cabins. Communal kitchen is really handy when your travelling for business. Pool looks really good and can't wait to try it on my next visit. Hosts were very welcoming we all enjoyed our stay.
