this lodge belongs to australians luxury lodges, a reason to book. though qualified as this, it had been the "ok"-one. location was great, right in the middle of the rain forest built middle-height of the trees, so that the tree tops were still above you - great! rooms were ok-ish, just enough space for 2 person but no space to...

Truly the most magnificent holiday destination and accommodation my partner and I have ever experienced, and the most we've ever paid. But we loved staying in a Riverhouse so much we're already making plans to return. What's not to love! The service was outstanding, the room delightfully appointed, the view exquisite, and the food to die for. The serenity of...

Tucked in the Daintree Rainforest this luxury property is a definite 5 star. Accommodations are stellar with the extra touches that you rarely see in properties. Our BillaBong Suite had binoculars and a small library, poolside offered suntan lotion and the reception staff were exceptional and helpful in every way. Peaceful setting allows for total relaxation and quality sleep. BillaBong...

A very comfortable hotel set as luxury lodges in a 'rain forest' setting. two small pools plus swimming in the river. Canoes and flippers freely available. Nice short walks along river bank. Spa treatments available. Private porch area with table, chairs and hammock. Washing machines., detergent and tumble dryers at no extra cost. Old fashioned bed turn down service +...

I had stayed at Silky Oaks before - some years back when it was under different ownership. Silky Oaks is a blissful experience: quiet, warm, lush. One can't help comparing to the first time you stayed there. I remember the rainshower as being more "rainy". I think the water pressure has been turned down. What I remember as being a...

What an amazing place to visit and stay in North Queensland. Highly recommended and definitely going back. Three nights were not enough. The staff are excellent from the moment you arrive. After our first day there we felt like we had been there for a week. The Spa Treatments are fantastic with plenty of options to choose from. Had a...

This is a return visit after five years. Very pleased to see that the accommodation has improved, and that there appears to be a recent refurb. The room we stayed in, which was a basic treehouse (not that basic!) was just lovely. It was quite a bit away, but that's part of the experience. The room was quite perfect for...

Disappointed that at 1000 AUD /night we were rushed to order dinner which was same menu for three consecutive nights, inexperienced staff and run down sporting equipment at lodge. What a difference from the Silky Oaks Lodge of the past.

We recently stayed at Silky Oaks Lodge for our wedding/honeymoon and loved the experience. We stayed in a Delux Treehouse which was beautiful and found it refreshing to fall asleep and wake up listening to the natural sounds of the rainforest. We utilised the free snorkeling equipment and saw an array of fish, fresh water eels and turtles in the...

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in early Oct at Silky Oaks lodge in a river house accommodation (#14). It was our first stop on our 2.5 week honeymoon in Aussie. Perfect first destination! Without a tv in the room, and calming music and tea lights lit every night in the room, it allowed us to relax and...
