Mission Beach Camping & Caravan Park is celebrated for its exceptional cleanliness and prime beachfront location, with guests consistently praising the well-maintained grounds and easy access to the beach. The relaxed atmosphere of the park is a highlight for many visitors, though some suggest that the amenities, while adequate, could benefit from enhancements. The service staff garners compliments for their friendliness and helpfulness, particularly in keeping facilities pristine. However, during peak times, there are occasional concerns about management. While some guests consider the park to be somewhat expensive given the basic amenities, the superb location often justifies the cost for visitors.

Excellent location right on the beach. Great pricing, too. However, the aged bathrooms need a desperate upgrade. Members of the public can easily walk through the park as there are no fences or clear marking that no entry allowed.

Fabulous location + welcoming host. New amenities were clean and comfortable. Some sites are on concrete slab (old tennis courts), others gravel or grass. Right on beach and 2 min walk to ‘town’. 2 large washing machines + dryers (much needed as we had torrential rain) $5 each. 2x camp kitchens. Small park which we enjoyed, some sites with view of water!

Super cheap and very well located on the beach. It is the best located caravan park in the area. The facilities need a little love and care but they are renovating them during February and March. So this will be perfect for the peak season. The guy that runs it is super friendly and helpful. Very easy access to the beach

After a pleasant week stay in September i returned in Oct having been told it will be the quiet season and no need to book. I found out it was fully booked with only one site for one night available. I arrived to find my site was on an unused tennis court in full sun and so hot i couldn't walk on concrete. I couldn't tye down my Awning and the power socket was hanging from ceiling in kitchen beside me which kept falling out as it was worn and lose. There was also a terrible smell i think coming from skip bins close by. I noticed about 5 empty sites that night and when enquired told they just must be NO SHOWS! Told next day there are no sites so i promptly left and found another Caravan Park with much much nicer facilities for only $7 per night more. I noticed that there was still around 7 still vacant sites! After staying in this park over many years I now feel it is sadly lacking any sort of motivated or helpful management and maintenance. BBQ out of order for a very long time. I probably won't stay ever again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Hi Leesa, its been an unusual year and we can only assume due to COVID and border closures that people extended their stay beyond September. We understand that not everyone likes the hardstand parking. We're please you were able to find a more suitable site for your requirements. Happy travels

Beautiful location - complete beach front sites. However, really need to upgrade their amenities. Very dated and scruffy. Showers were cold. Quite a few appliances in the kitchen not working and 1 broken BBQ. I would have been happy paying $6 per person/night for unpowered, not $27 for two people.

We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. The camp kitchen has been refurbished since your stay and we are actively planning the upgrade of the amenities block. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 these are uncertain times but we hope to commence work this year.

This is all about location, location, location!
by and large good shower and toilet facilities, only half of the toaster worked, but everything else seemed to be in order, relying on the other guesst to keep it clean and tidy for other users
Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great location right next to the beach. Clean facilities although having to keep rubber soled shoes on to avoid electric shocks when touching the taps was a bit disconcerting. Camp kitchen with picnic benches very useful. Very handy for the town / village centre.

We stayed 3 nights at this park. the beach is just at the end of the park; long walks to be had; restaurants/ pub just up the road (Thai Chill, amazing!); cassowary spotting; lush rain forest, one of the best sunrises - I could go on - we will be back! Thanks to staff they were great
One issues we had but one that was soon resolved was we needed a longer extension lead and sadly the one that we were given had a bad earthing and our van was affected. The staff were marvellous and we got a better lead and we were right for the rest of our stay. The amenities are aged and really need some renovations. Reasonably clean, a little like an older bath house with wooded shutter doors, very well used, really need upgrades. We had lovely hot water tho;
