We visited during one of the hottest weekends of February, but the coolest of cool Air/Con within the lovely Units, helped, during the heat of the day. The weekend we stayed, the Owners were away & had a lovely Host in their place. She had turned on the Air/Con within the room earlier, for us & so when we entered on our arrival, it was a pleasant relief. A thoughtful gesture. The room itself, was spacious & comfortable & the plantation shutters on the doors, made for a very relaxed tropical feel. Along with the lush tropical gardens & the wading pool out the front of the Unit with the little side waterfall, staying within the Unit during the hottest part of the day, was made very pleasurable .
The Bathroom was white, minimalist & very spacious. Clean lines & a large showering area with a rainfall shower head was ideal, for when coming in from the nearby beach, you could wash off, quite easily. Although, another bench of sorts could have been a little handy for items of use.
The Unit we had, had limited cooking facilities, but others had more. A toaster, jug & a range of cutlery were provided within the kitchen area, including a microwave oven. But, with the delightful choice of places to dine around the area, we used the kitchen to make Breakfast, some snacks & some preparation of local produce purchased.
Walking tracks (including the Ulysses Track), the beach & other spots are close by, including Clump Point Boat Ramp. A nearby 'hidden' beach accessible best from the Resort, gives the Mozzies & sandflies a field day, so, don't forget the inscent repellent before you venture down there or else they may help carry you to the beach (!)
They have a Restaurant & Bar Area at the Resort as well, but because it was the off-peak Season, they weren't open during our stay. But the area has a lovely relaxed feel about where it's located. (Apart from the Mozzies...but that is just that time of the year).
Would definitely enjoy another visit, especially for the location, tropical gardens & the local bird & wildlife, which was lovely to see within the grounds. Along with the lovely Host & the clean, tidy, tropical & cool Unit.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom bungalow, a great place for a group accommodation up to 7 guests! Kitchen amenities meet our basic needs, so feels just like home. We brought our own meals for savings and convenience since their restaurant had only 2 days trade per week, and was closed during our stay, but alternatives are close by in town. Our adult kids and grandchildren had great time in the swimming pool just in front of the bungalow. Love the shade sail over the shallow section of the pool, too! Great place for morning, afternoon, and night walks at the sandy beach which is just 2-minute walk from our bungalow! The only downside is that January is stinger/jellyfish season, so we can’t swim in the open sea, we had to walk around 2.5 km to the net enclosure for safety. Overall, Eco Village is a beautiful and quiet place to be, plus very friendly staff who gave us free bananas, and pawpaw fruits grown in the village itself! Highly recommended, and we’d love coming back ourselves for future holidays, God willing!

We spent a week in this lovely spot, just the ticket for a laid back getaway on the beautiful Cassowary Coast. Steve and Trudy were fabulous hosts- friendly, helpful and just a top couple who love their property and love taking care of their guests. Basic, well priced, clean and comfy bungalows, with excellent bed and great shower, set right in a patch of coastal rainforest with direct access to Mission Beach. About a 20 min stroll to bars and restaurants and very central to all the best sights and attractions on the coast. Amazing gardens, full of lush, green, wet tropical plants with the backdrop of the natural forest surrounds. We hope Eco Village never changes the recipe - simple, beautiful and a little reminder of how holidays used to be before commercialism and mass tourism. Thanks Steve and Trudy for a truly lovely break - we hope you get to take that Mediterranean cruise one day when the stars align!

We have stayed here before as their policy on deluxe rooms as on their website and all other websites are as follows........All deluxe rooms have a private balcony overlooking t's own tropical water feature - strictly no children allowed.

Cots are not permitted in our deluxe rooms.

Free basic WIFI is available. Cots are not permitted in our deluxe rooms.

How plain can that be??????

We arrived and was met by the managers with a lovely greeting. I asked if we could changed the deluxe spa room to another deluxe spa room that we have previously stayed in. They were happy to oblige. All was great and we were enjoying a quiet moment having a glass of wine outside by our water feature ( which was not even on ) and we heard the guests next door arrive. They had with them heir toddler who the mother spoke to at the top of her lungs and the toddler would squeal loudly in response. We went inside but found it not much better as their is not much in the way of soundproofing between the rooms. After 10 mins I went to the office to see if we could be moved but was told no. I pointed out that the deluxe rooms were adult only and the response I received was that the toddler could play in the water outside of the room. I said it is actually a water feature and I wouldn't call it a paddling pool or consider it safe or hygienic for a little one to be in. The management said there was nothing they could do so I went back to our room. 10 mins later there was a knock on our door and we were told we could move to a spa bungalow. We jumped at it as we were sick of the ongoing noise. The bungalow was not as nice as the deluxe room and the spa was suitable for one person. I am at a loss why they could not maove the family to that room. Anyway, it left us with a bit of a sour taste and my advice to this property is that if you advertise adults only....ADHERE TO IT.

We stayed her for 4 nights. $148 per night plus card surcharge. Booked direct because its cheaper than booking.con. We stayed in villa no. 10 with glimpses of the ocean. Very quiet and secluded. Pool was beautiful as were the surroundings. Washing machine and dryer available for $4 each. No restaurant open or bar. $30 charge if you leave dirty cups etc on the sink in your room. The tavern and a couple of shops are about a 10 min walk along the beach. Mission beach is a nice little town if you don't want to do anything.

An absolute oasis! What a gem. Nestled right in the rainforest as it touches the ocean, this accommodation is by far the best location in the area. The walk into town is about 15 minutes (1.2km) and very beautiful (you can walk by the beach on the Ulysses walking track).
All facilities were excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a bungalow, which unexpectedly had a kitchen! All bungalows have an outlook into peaceful bush with the ocean lapping the shore through the trees. The pool is gorgeous with natural rocky leafy features so it feels like a rainforest rock pool. There is a stunning on-site restaurant overlooking the ocean which isn’t in use during covid but you can still sit on the deck with a book or picnic and enjoy.
Hire bikes are available. Free WiFi worked well. Mini bar was well stocked and very cheap (wine $6.50 / beers $4.50 / soft drinks $3.50 )

My Husband and I first stayed here 10 years ago on our first visit to Mission a Beach and have stayed another 5 or 6 times since and it really hasn’t changed. The rooms are clean, inviting and well equipped.

Now as a family we prefer to stay in the rainforest view bungalow though have previously stayed in the king spa room.
It is lovely to sit outside on the verandah and every effort has been made in its design to ensure a degree of privacy.

The beds are comfortable and at the end of a two week road trip I had the best nights sleep here listening to the sound of the waves and enjoyed the breeze through the room.

The pool is lovely to swim in, the grounds well maintained and have a relaxing tropical feel.

It is a short stroll into town and cafes and has its own access onto the beach.

Always highly recommend this to friends and family.

This almost didn’t get a 5 because when I walked in earlier than the usual check in time, the woman in the office looked up and said, you are early... no hello, no welcome.
Well yes we are and as per the email that you sent asking us to let you know if we would be early I said we would be here between 12-1pm and it is currently 12.10pm. The man in the office jumped in and smoothed it, the room wasn’t quite ready so we went for a walk into town, which is actually a lovely walk.
The room was airy and very clean, there were a few rules around the kitchen which while usual were a little heavy handed, I possibly thought that due to the less than warm welcome.
We had a lovely stay and with advice from the nice man running the resort we had some nice walks. The room was very comfortable and quiet, we would stay here again (but not arrive before 2pm)

Took the family up to mission beach eco village, Very clean and well maintained spot in mission beach we had the rainforest view lodge which was very private. Couldn’t recommend the place for its perfect location and great owners who were very accomodating. This will be our new holiday spot in mission when we come up.

Super quiet and peaceful location in a small piece of rainforest at the northern end of laid back Mission Beach. It's a great place to just sit back and relax with the sound of the scrub on your doorstep.
The bungalow we stayed in had everything you need including if you wanted to self cater as well. However, the village has easy access to Mission Beach which is a brilliant 20 minute walk down to the main hub of restaurants and cafes.
If you need somewhere quiet to relax for a few days, this is the place to be.
