Stayed at this park for a week during school holidays. A great position on a patrolled beach and close to shops and restaurants.

What let this park down was the disgusting state of the amenities block. Despite multiple complaints to management, not just from our group but many others, nothing seemed to be done. Instead our concerns were fobbed off with a comment that the groundsman was also the cleaner and he cleaned the amenities block twice a day (we never witnessed this). I understand it's peak season during school holidays, but the state of amenities was unsanitary, far less did we see any evidence of a COVID safe plan. The camp kitchen also had no soap or hand sanitizer and when questioned, management responded it's each campers responsibility to provide their own.

This could be a great park with some minor changes and a whole lot more effort from management. The position of the park is great. It's a shame the cleanliness would make it unlikely that we'd ever stay here again.

While the location of this park is hard to beat and the option of a cabin with a queen and double a great option, the general quality of the cabins was poor. As we flew there, we did not carry extra equipment so we had to buy a cooking knife that cut, a peeler that worked and items to use in the microwave. I requested a mop to clean the floor and in 2 weeks only had beds changed rather than a proper clean. No toilet brush, watered down dish detergent, cheapest toilet paper and had to request a scourer. Air con was just on or off with no i between and there were cockroaches. The list could be longer. However, The park staff were friendly and helpful but the overall maintenance was very poor and rundown. I wonder if the council depends entirely on location and charges accordingly. Hopefully now we are mostly post covid, some badly needed updates can be done.

Great spot, with clean facilities and good-sized sites. Beach access is but a short walk over the dunes from the park that backs onto the beach. Several secure gates provide the beach access points. Staff very friendly and accommodating too. It's a short walk to the Maroochy Surf Club, the Alex Heads Surf Club, several cafes and eateries are also very close by. Some road noise mainly on Friday & Saturday nights for the sites adjacent to the road on the southern and western sites, but you get used to it - it's certainly not a showstopper.

Great idea for the giant chess board, large covered entertainment and family room, plus outdoor BBQ cooking facilities.

All up, a great spot, we've been here three times now, and we'll be back again for sure!

The cabin was had a terrible smell and not very clean dishes as well as the carpet in the bedroom and the fan was filthy. Last minute booking however for the price does not worth it. You are also expected to clean, wash and polish everything before you go with their prices, and they can't pay for a cleaner so you have to do it

We had booked and paid for a full week to celebrate my dear friend's 50th birthday.

We were made to feel like children on a school camp - rules, regulations and to top it off: wrist bands, not to mention all the paperwork (yes, Covid has changed things) and requiring to download the Covid app.

However, I was willing to overlook all of this until I phoned due to the current severe weather warnings (strong winds up to 100km/hr, heavy rainfall and flash flooding), I called to inquire if we could upgrade our stay for a few days (until Tuesday when the weather settles down) to a cabin, at which point, we'd move back to our allocated site. It was not worth the risk of damaging our caravan. I was informed we could in fact stay in a cabin - for an extra $250 approx per night! (I cannot recall the exact figure due to my shock.) This was on top of the current booking. Honestly, as a paying customer, I feel this is a complete rort. I was not ringing to cancel, nor was I requesting a refund. When I asked if we had any other options, I was met with a curt "no". The lady I spoke to was very short and dismissive, borderline rude.

This was incredibly disappointing and I will not be staying at this park again, nor will I be recommending it to anyone.

Watch out for the cancellation fee if you book at this park and cannot attend. No matter how far you cancel in advance of your booking- particularly these days when one day your free the next you’re in lockdown. Won’t make that error again- would rather sleep in the car.

We have stayed in three of the council owned parks, Mudjimba, Cotton Tree and our last experience Maroochydore. This council could learn alot from council run parks in Gold Coast and Hervey bay. I cannot speak about the rest of the other sites run by this council, apart from a poor experience booking into Dicky Beach. The reception we received by a male person behind the counter was nothing short of arrogant. After booking a site which was not a pleasant experience, we walked around that park to have a look at state of and facilities and cancelled our booking losing our deposit which was okay. Would not want to stay there. Out of the three parks we did stay at, Mudjimba was well managed. Cotton Tree only just and Maroochydore a failure. We stayed 13 nights there and in that time the amenities were not cleaned on Four occasions the last of that lot was two days in a row. The mens toilets apart from two cubicles had completely run out of toilet paper. The showers a disgusting mess. A complaint was made to the receptionist, who apologised and stated they were having trouble getting cleaners.
In the end i noticed it was the receptionist that made the effort to clean leaving the office locked and unattended. Old park, need a major upgrade.

The tourist park has deteriorate badly to a point it has turned into a workers park whereby locals are drinking in the public facilities from 7am. A very bad look! Very dim lighting in the amenities block to a point it was hard to see. The Sunshine Coast is beautiful but there are better places to stay other than Maroochydore Beach Holiday Park.

We enjoyed our stay.
The amenities block was clean. Showers were hot with good water pressure.
Easy access to beach through a gate near our van.
Shops and restaurants were an easy walk.
We liked our corner site for our teardrop which has an annexe on both sides.
The lady at reception was welcoming and helpful.

There isn't a pool . But park backs onto the beach, with beach access from the park. Also a play equipment in the public park next to the caravan park.
