Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly welcome and a quiet place to spend a night. It is easily accessible from the freeway and takes only moments to get back on the highway. There are some good places to eat close by and I can recommend this as an overnight stopover for anyone travelling on the Bruce Highway.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the location is great, a short drive to sunshine plaza and a really enjoyable walking trail along the Maroochydore River. The hotel itself is budget, but still clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Room had not long recently been upgraded with new tiles in the bathroom, however the mattress was not overly comfortable, you could feel the springs. Pet friendly, overall a pleasant stay.

This motel is good for an overnight stay. The young couple running the motel are very nice. The motel is old and does need renovation, but the bed was new and very comfy. It had new carpet, curtains. It was spotlessly clean and had a nice hot shower in the unit

Only use this place as a last resort it's old, rickety, and the beds looked like they were found at the tip. The bathroom was discraceful the shower head had so much mould in it that it was coming out of the holes. The panels surrounding the shower were moldy and flimsy.

We only ended up here because there was no where else at the time. We paid $120 for the night, but I'd recommend buying a tent for a hundred bucks and using the rest for a camp site before considering staying here.

Stayed for two nights. Room was spotlessly clean and neat. (Think they cleaned my room during the first day while I was out, although I was only staying for two nights.) Very comfortable bed. Microwave, fridge, toaster, electric jug etc. Friendly owners (or managers). I would recommend this motel.

Had a great holiday with friends and as much as I annoyed the guy at the service desk, he was polite and very helpful.
Room was small but clean and bathroom looks newly renovated.
Great short stay.
Very accommodating.

Terrible experience. Unusable swimming pool (unchlorinated / turning green), extremely dated room, bed covers & bathroom (screamed 1982). It was clean but couldn't go through with staying the night - drove family home & cut trip short. Ruined our weekend away. Wasn't even cheap! For affordable accommodation, would be better of with Air B&B or cabins at the nearby caravan park.

You often only read about the perfect motel hosts, well we met them during the first two weeks of October 2019 at Riverpark Motel Maroochydore (formally Maroochy River Motel). The room was fresh and very clean and well appointed with every amenity we could have wished for but the best part was the helpfulness and hospitality of our hosts, Wendy and Chris. On arrival (we were expected) we were given a jug of fresh milk and made to feel very welcome. Our room was refreshed every day with fresh towels and clean linen every couple of days. The bathroom and shower area were spotless and the hot water shower was one only 5 Star Hotels could dream of. The pool and BBQ area was very inviting especially for the sudden very hot days we experienced, followed by some very welcome rain, washing the dust from the plants and grounds that were also well maintained. It is a motel we are only too happy to return to.

Stay 6 Days and Wendy and Chris were excellent the place was clean and beds were comfortable and you could not hear the traffic as it is on a main road. The room was cleaned every 2 days with new sheet and towels and if you required anything else they went out of there way to help you.

If you want to walk to the Fisherman's Road Market on a Sunday, or even check out some of the game day action at the Maroochydore Multi-Sports Complex (?), this friendly place is in prime position. Helpful hosts, free WiFi and great walk-ability - with an easy stroll (flat walk) along the Maroochy River, a treat with river breezes, to start or end the day.
