We stayed here in Unit 9 (Premium Apartment 2 Bedroom Oceanview) for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean, bright, and well decorated.

The beds were comfortable, front reception service was fantastic, secure car parking. The apartments are a very close walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and the patrolled beach just across the road. There is very little road noise due to the one way street out the front.

The “oceanview” is more of an ocean glimpse due to only being on 1st floor.

We would definitely stay here again, next time we’re keen to book a rooftop apartment.

Well renovated apartment, we stayed in Unit 23. good beds, linen, and furniture. Mostly clean although the air conditioning vents in the bedrooms and ensuite were full of dust and fluff. No blinds in the bedrooms for night privacy. Closed the shutters in one room but shutters broken in the other. Sea view really only from the rooftop. Stairway handrail was very grubby from hands on it, definitely needed cleaning. Bring your own face washer!
It would have been nice if there were salt and pepper available.

The place and location was amazing!! It was right across from the beach which was great!! One of the bathrooms was uncleaned and there were old mouldy food scraps in the bin that hadn’t been taken out. Other than these small things it was amazing and would definitely recommend.

Advertised description was nothing like reality. Unable to see sea views unless you go 12 steps up after you have left your apartment. The TV in the lounge did not work at all. Tried to get help from the lady in reception but she failed to be able to fix. Was unable to use tumble drier due to the complexity. Paid top dollar due to it being Easter and was looking forward to what looked like a great getaway. The fact that the 'lady' who was there to 'help' and didn't, finished off by telling me that she couldn't help it if I was too old, topped it all off! I travel from the UK to Australia every year, by myself. No problem!

My wife and I were allocated apartment No 21 for a 5 day stay in March 2013. On the positive side it was a large and airy apartment. The location suited us well, being relatively quiet with good access to beaches. Unfortunately , whilst we were there, the beach directly over the road was closed off due to sand erosion caused by recent very bad weather. Being on the top floor the apartment had a roof top sun terrace which was very pleasant and it also came with its own secure access garage under the apartments. The sheets and towels provided were clean and the swimming pool looked reasonable enough although we did not use it ourselves.
On the bad side the apparent was generally rather dirty and required a thorough clean . The bathroom particularly needed a good clean and the main bedroom smelt unpleasant. Apart from the microwave the equipment in the apartment worked but was generally in poor condition (eg rusty , dirty , etc). We thoroughly cleaned one shelf in the fridge and the toaster and restricted our cooking to the microwave and toaster. The air conditioning did work but was not particularly effective .
We arrived at the apartment in the early evening , after travelling most of the day, and it was a very close decision as to whether we actually stayed in the apartment or looked for an alternative. The apartment felt and smelt as if it had been unoccupied for a while and had received no more than a superficial clean ( if that ?) prior to our arrival. We were very tired at the end of travelling and finding alternative accommodation for our stay at that time of day would have been difficult and expensive.
The management of the apartment left something to be desired. A few days prior to our arrival I was emailed and asked for a deposit even though I had already paid this months previously. Due to the lateness of our arrival we were left to fend for ourselves with the key left in a secure location for us to collect and no other instructions. We had to work out for ourselves how to access the secure car park . Like lots of things once you know what to do it is quite easy, however, working out what key to use and where to put it for the first time if you do not have instructions can be a trial, especially at the end of a long day. On entering the apartment and getting over the initial shock of condition and smell we deciding that we really would have to stay there for at least that night. I attempted to get the air conditioning to work but after a short while of trying to sort it out I rang the out of hours contact number (emergency only) where the manger told me that I needed a different set of key with a special fob . I then had to go and this other set of keys from the office . Again there was no information provide either prior to our arrival or in the apartment itself to say that a special key was required for the air conditioning. As it turned out the air condition still did not work with the required key fob in place. After another call on the out of hours number and advice from the manger over the phone the problem was tracked to the power supply that had tripped out. (note that he did not come and sort it out himself). The final small point was that the milk cartons left in the fridge were out of date by a 10 days and despite saying that he would replace them in the apartment it never happened.
It appears that these apartments are privately owned and thus the standard of each apartment can vary regarding equipment age and status. We were not sure who was responsible for cleaning the apartment but this was the worst of 24 locations that we stayed in on our travels. With plenty of airing over the next few days and loads of air freshener we were able to make a go of the situation. The local Surf Club just down the road provided a decent location for food and drink and overall we had a really good time at Maroochydore and the Sunshine coast however, the good points of the apartment barely balanced out the bad.

The unit (no 19) was quite well equipped, very conveniently situated and could be a lot more enjoyable. The management rights are for sale so the present managers are obviously over it!!
There were dirty and stained blankets in the second bedroom, No handtowels or tea towels. Frypans impossible to use as the food just stuck to the bottom. Spare pillows but no pillowcases so if you sleep with two pillows bad luck.

We picked the Camargue Beachfront Apartments based on vicinity to the beach, reasonably priced and with a pool. We arrived and checked in by paying in advance and was given unit 2 by the pleasant resident manager Ken and offered the local paper. We then parked the car in the garage, each unit has its own single car lockup garage (I'll add, there is free parking in the street for visitors).

When staying somewhere new I never have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the apartment which was quite nicely finished (see picture). However the bathrooms were a bit tired looking but as you don't go on holiday for a bathroom I didn't mind given our 3 requirements were completely satisfied, but it may bother some people.

We choose to stay on the bottom floor (its 3 stories) because it has direct access to the pool area and the apartment has a master bedroom with queen bed and single beds in another room. There is a full kitchen, including dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, etc although we didn't do any cooking. For those who care, there is a self service 3rd party room service offered of which the prices seemed reasonable to me but we had brought our own. Lounge area has LCD with a DVD player and there is Austel cable TV, but I miss my free view digital TV oh well, and for those people who stay longer there is a washer and dryer.

Outdoors, aside from the very nice heated pool, which my kids would live in given the chance, there is a outdoor spa, sauna, a toilet near the pool, good for kids who leave it until they are busting because they're having so much fun. There are two free electric BBQs and outdoor tables and chairs as well as sun chairs.

The beach is within walking distance (100m or less) and the Surf Club with flagged swimming area (all year round I believe) is another 100m north.

Overall the Camargue Beachfront Apartments is just a great place in a great location!

We stayed here as some of our friends had booked this accommodation and we all wanted to stay in the same place as we were up here for a birthday.
Starting with the positive the units are directly across from the beach and the location is quiet.
The units are on the older side but some are currently being renovated, the unit we had number 19 was not one of them!
They are all individually owned so I gather it is up to the owners on how they decorate our one looked like they had attempted to do some upgrades the flooring looked new and modern, the bathroom tiles looked new , that’s about where it stopped, the furniture was old and dark and mis matched the dark brown couches in the lounge room had a bad dirty odour so for the 3 days we stayed we did not sit on, the outdoor furniture was rusty mis matched and old, we had two single beds in an area that had been covered up along with another grubby brown couch and a white entertainment unit .The air conditioning worked in the back of the unit but struggled in the front part as there were only 2 small vents in the kitchen area would have hated to stay on a really hot weekend! The TV’s were older and cheap.
Our friends stayed in unit 21 and it had been totally renovated and decorated beautifully to a high standard obviously the owner takes care of theirs.
The place was fully booked over the weekend we stayed or I would have asked to be moved and luckily we were out each day and evenings.
This unit lets the complex down I don’t know what state the others are in except number 21 which was beautiful, admittedly not overly expensive but with the amount of units and holiday accommodation around I would go elsewhere next time I would not risk another unit here like this one here.
I would not stay here again.

Response from CamargueApartments, Manager at Camargue Beachfront Apartments
Responded 28 Apr 2019
Pauline, I'm sorry you weren't happy with your renovated apartment but many guests are. U19 is perfectly fine, it is constantly re-let by our happy guests. I think you were unhappy because I moved your friend to a top floor apartment for her birthday instead of you. There really was no need to speak to me like you did at checkout, then write this review. Your friend did not stay in U21 so you could not have seen this unit. The AC is brand new and has zoning, you just had to choose which area you'd like to cool. The TV's are not old and cheap, what even does this mean? I won't respond to any more of your claims as they are fabricated and really show that it probably wasn't the unit that let you down but more likely something else that happened during your weekend. As you say there are many more places to stay in Maroochydore so I hope you find one to meet your expectations next time you are over from Perth. Regards Management
