My husband and I had an amazing stay at Malaney Tropical Retreat. The log cabin was well thought out with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast provisions were beautiful and generous. And the host was lovely and accommodating. The location is central to Malaney and Montville and close to lovely walking trails. The birdlife was beautiful too. We would stay again and recommend this place to others.

Candi Dasa Villa was spacious, well appointed & very cosy. Big windows on 2 sides gave great views down the valley to Lake Baroon, yet the villa is very private. The king bed, large day bed & the spa were very much appreciated. Loved watching the sun rising & burning off the morning mist in the valley below. 5 nights of R&R bliss.

Had such an excellent time staying at Maleny Tropical Retreat. We stayed at one of the villas which had beautiful Balinese furniture, and a lovely big bed. The views were absolutely amazing we enjoyed just being stood outside on our balcony - we had a view of the whole property, as well as Lake Baroon. The villas had a very nice distance between them, and also were covered using bamboo and other plants, making it nice and private even if you were on the balcony. It wasn't completely silent as there was no barrier to the road on the mountain, however that didn't bother us too much because the location was fantastic. On the opposite side of the road from the entrance there is a beautiful lookout, and there is Maleny Cheese very close by as well which has a little cafe with lovely cheese-based meals. I would definitely recommend anyone travelling to Maleny to stay here.

This place is a hidden gem. The scenery is gorgeous, the sounds of the bush amazing and the staff fabulous, very friendly and helpful. With each guest group having their own cabin, It really is as the name suggests a tropical retreat. It is in a great location with plenty to do, see and eat in the surrounding area. We will definitely be going back!

Very private and a gorgeous view from the balcony/verandah. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was clean and well equiped. The room was a nice little getaway with a sense of seclusion in the mountains.

A couple of hundred metres down the hill and the outside world disappears. Silence. We breakfast on the veranda and gaze out over the ranges. Down in the gully and on the slope cows graze on hi-viz green. It's the same view from the kitchen, the couches and the bed. The villas are cleverly designed, spacious but cosy, and equipped generously with everything you need. Ken and Daph, being farming people long ago, know what real hospitality is about. Thank you both, we felt privileged to stay with you. Cheers, John and Sarah.

Very quiet area which allowed us to enjoy the various sounds of birds, well off the Maleny-Montville Highway. Great views of the countryside, including Baroon Dam and the surrounding mountains. The cottage was very clean and tidy, contained everything necessary for even a prolonged stay. The bed was very comfortable, good quality bed linen, ample kitchenware and a great breakfast basket which lasted our 3 night stay. Cottage has a wood fire stove and a spa bath and an adjacent undercover car port, the latter very welcome during storm season. Close to both Maleny and Montville. Hosts friendly and helpful. Loyalty card available offering complementary extra night stay.

It is quite relaxing to stay at Maleny Tropical Retreat, and its amazing decoration refreshed my decade-old wonderful memories at Bali. I would suggest it is a must to stay at Maleny Tropical Retreat when you have a chance to visit Maleny and Montville. I guess spring and summer are the best time of the year to visit there.
