From the warm welcoming to the large clean quiet comfortable rooms, to the delicious coffee and freshly baked croissants every morning we decided to increase our stay from 3 nights to 5 nights. Small motel, 6 units, great location between Maleny and Montville, minutes to either. Absolute value for money here.

Beautiful location in the hills. Clean rooms, well stocked with complimentary fruit, flowers and sweets. Owned by two chefs (one French) so you can have fresh baked croissants for breakfast. Grounds beautifully kept. Good value all around.

The most beautiful experience from check in to check out at Maleny Hills (Le Relais Bressan) Motel. I had the pleasure of staying for 5 nights because the owners were so accomodating when I drove in to enquire about availability before midday and without a booking. They are so very warm, friendly and welcoming and this extends to the small touches they provided in the room as well...fresh scented roses in a vase, complimentary apples & french donuts, real milk (not UHT), coffee plunger and grinds, a kitchen sink and bench, toiletries, free dvds from the office, and super fast wifi to meet my business and entertainment needs during my stay. The bed was super comfortable and plush, the room exemplary in cleanliness, great shower, outdoor settings to enjoy the gardens, undercover carpark provided, gourmet foods and meals available to order and all in the beautiful hills of Maleny. Honestly, do yourself a favour and book your next Sunshine Coast Hinterland holiday here, You'll be glad you did!

Starting from the intial booking, this was a fantastic experience. We have stayed in this motel many times over 20 years, and this latest visit was by far the best. I have a large van, and was concerned about being able to fit it under the carport, and during the booking phone call, Thierry went out with a tape measure to let me know the height. On arrival we were greeted by Thierry, and shown our room which was immaculate, and featured fresh roses, and a platter of fruit and chocolate. The onsite French cafe is amazing with food prepared by Thierry and Cindy. The crepes, baguettes and croissants were delicious, and we took home some pre-prepared "heat and eat" food. We will definitely be back!

Room appeared very clean, however found cockroaches crawling during the night. Rooms serviced every 4 days , no laundry facilities and clean towels charged at $5 each. No breakfast offered. Checked in by owner’s parents who were very friendly and helpful. Wi fi advertised but was not available. Reported to owner who was not interested in the problem. Did not see him at all. Lovely surroundings and a good position set between Maleny and Montville. Very peaceful.

I was most pleased with our stay at Maleny Hills Motel. From the booking to warm and friendly check in from Thierry, it was refreshing to get such genuine service. The rooms were well kept, comfortable and clean; it really seems that the owners genuinely care and show pride in their property - it was wonderfully presented. The courtyard in front of the rooms was very nice on top of the wonderful gardens in which to enjoy the marvellous French fare from the cafe run by Thierry and Cindy. As we had to get moving I picked up a croissant to take with me. What a marvel. I don’t often say that I will be back - but I will certainly be back here to enjoy the wonderful warm hospitality and French food.

Wow ! Have you ever been in a motel with a vase of fresh roses and a flowering peace lily in the room? The eye for detail by Cindy and Thierry in the rooms and the cafe is amazing. The motel is set in a gorgeous garden where breakfast and lunch are served (Thursday to Sunday). The French delicacies (including the croissants and baguettes) are made on the premises - you'll think you're in France. We'll be back !

We were impressed at the cleanliness of the room but disappointed that no breakfast was offered as the motel was a fair distance from town. Nice gardens and a pleasant seated area outside the room. We were surprised at the number of notices (do's and don'ts) in the handbook and on the walls, particularly "Housekeeping: Rooms are serviced every fourth day and clean towels are exchanged at the same time. There is a $5 laundry charge for fresh towels other than a service."

Cindy and Thierry, the owners, welcome you like guests in their own home. There are just 5 rooms in this tranquil motel set in beautiful gardens on the outskirts of Maleny. The rooms are absolutely spotless. My room had a very well equipped kitchenette, a queen and a single bed. Glass sliding doors opened onto a private deck area overlooking the gardens. There is a café on site serving delicious home made French baked goods as well as restaurant meals for breakfast and lunch. The rooms, food and service were all fantastic. I felt like I was staying with friends in a corner of Burgundy!

The owners have a friendly dog of their own but I'm not sure if they allow pets. They were very prompt responding when I emailed them questions, so best bet would be to call or email them.
There are more places to choose from in the Maleny area.
