Our Easter holiday at Tranquil Getaways on Obi Maleny was fantastic. Our hosts, Greg and Barb, were very accommodating in allowing us early entry into the villa so our toddler daughter could have her daytime nap. We stayed in Villa 5 which was perfect for our family. It is situated away from the remaining villas so we didn't feel worried if our daughter made noise and had a beautiful outlook over the creek. The welcome basket was a lovely touch so we had fresh bread, jam, butter, milk and yoghurt for our first breakfast. The location is the real winner as you can easily walk to Maleny's main street and enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and shops available.

The name says it all; the rooms have unimpeded views of Obi Creek from large balconies and apart from sounds of native wildlife the tranquillity is total. All this a few minutes walk from Maleny’s Main Street with its galleries and cafes. From every window there are views of trees and those with keen eyes might even spot a platypus in the creek. Furnishings and inclusions are excellent and Greg and Barb are consummate hosts, helpful and friendly but unobtrusive.

We loved it. Location was unexpectedly perfect, being walking distance to all of main strip Maleny. Accommodation was clean and modern and really thoughtfully appointed (kitchen has spices, lounge has kids toys, chess and magazines) and sitting out on the balcony overlooking the natural wildlife and creek was so relaxing, as was the warm fire and ducted aircon when it got chilly for us in the hills. Owners were easy to deal with, friendly and lovely making sure we had everything we needed and checkin was so simple. We will be back!

We spent a blissful three nights in cabin 3. The freestanding "treehouse" is a great size, modern, clean, great layout and so private, we felt like we had the whole area to ourselves. The bathtub is great, and all the little attention to details are factored in, such as mozzie spray, umbrella, kitchenette faculties and free wifi (which was great as Optus didn't work very well) . The balcony overlooking the creek is peaceful and we even got to see a platypus!
The location is perfect, just across the road from the pub and a very short stroll to the main street with lots of cafes, shops and a great IGA supermarket.
There is nothing we could fault about staying here. Highly recommend.

The "new owners" were perfect hosts. The villas suited my family requirements. The location is ideal for access to town and surrounds making walking to most of Maleny possible. I highly recommend Tranquil Getaways and would book again when needed.

I highly recommend On Obi Maleny as a great place to stay. The guest houses are nicely setup, with jetted tub, separate living space and bedroom space. I particularly liked sitting on the balcony overlooking the Obi Obi creek, and having a birds eye view of the Flying Fox Colony right outside the window. These are a special animal and it was really special to be able to view them so close. Amazing. I'll come back next visit for sure.

My stay at Tranquil Getaways was indeed a tranquil getaway. I felt beautifully at home, relaxed and comfortable in my own villa with a perfectly peaceful outlook over Obi Creek. The Obi Boardwalk is right on the doorstep, and the Mary Cairncross Sanctuary is five minutes drive. Barb and Greg are wonderful hosts and the villas are close and convenient to Maleny. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at these lovely, quiet cabins off the main street overlooking Obi creek. There are only 5 cabins and they are spotless and very well appointed with everything you really require. Our cabin was number 5 which is for the disabled and excellently set up even though we are not disabled. The onsite restaurant at present is only open Friday and Saturday nights due to Covid so we walked across the street the Maleny hotel for dinner with excellent food , service, staff and atmosphere.

Tranquil Getaways really live up to their name. As you walk in to your cabin, you are greeted by lush green views from all the large windows, overlooking the Obi creek and trees. Yet you are completely private and can relax in the spa bath, gazing up at the treetops. Barb and Greg have created a perfect retreat for couples or a solo visitor seeking peace, providing well equipped accommodation including delicious breakfast supplies and other extras on request such a the recommended (by me) cheese plate and wine, chocolates, flowers and other treats. Barb runs a lovely yoga class some days, which would suit any agility level, and Greg offers massage (which I sadly didn't have time for). It would be easy to not leave until check out time, but the township of Maleny is a very short walk away with its tempting shops and cafes. Montville is not far away, and Mary Cairncross park for some rainforest walking. Sadly, no platypus appeared in the creek, but otherwise this escape was perfect.
