So embarrassed I didn’t check reviews for this dump but we have stayed here before on 2 occasions and found it very comfortable and clean. This visit we found holes in the curtains, mould on the aircon, dirty bandages in the guest laundry, broken glass lying around, dodgy door lock in our room, unprofessional check inn the list goes on. Way way over priced and no discounter room move when we complained. I should have gone the my gut and drive away but we had a long drive from Bundaberg and was hoping for a nice relaxing swim, drink and dinner instead we had the most uncomfortable night. Give this place a wide birth. The photos should tell the story.

Ashamed that I booked my daughter and grandson into this derelict old motel which once was a top Motel. Old room full of bugs - not one staff member seen during whole four days to change towels or even empty the bins - dont know how you have the hide to even charge for these rooms - knowing the condition of the motel why was a room at the Albert Park not offered instead. Had to ask for room to be changed as bed had coils sticking through. Dont know who the owner now is but I would sincerely hope that he reads these reviews and how dare you offer such shocking accommodation for visitors to Longreach. If if you have no intention of offering decent accommodation to visitors then close the damn thing down altogether. Longreach local. Love to have a face to face conversation with the owner. Not even a reception on sight - have to book in at Albert Park Motel.

We are travelling with our dog. The Jumbuck is an older place and I don't mind that it is old, and I don't mind that the breakfast bar is waved from the water spilt from the kettle, or that the paintwork is old, or the furniture is old. I truely don't as the Sheets were lovely and clean. However what I do mind is when I open the door and it smells of Dog! I sprayed heaps of perfume trying to hide the smell and aired it out for abit. The carpet is Stained & Doggy smelling, there is Mould on the ceiling & on the grout in the Shower. The blanket was rolled up and dumped on the floor of the wardrobe & it to smelt of dog, the aircon is full of dust inside and hasn't had a clean. We have just come from a place in Mount Isa where the Pet Friendly rooms are all Hard floors (so no Dog Smell). There is no mould anywhere, the blankets are folded neatly and placed on the shelves, aircons were clean (which just comes down to basic house keeping & aircons being professionally cleaned every so often). They even had their remotes for the Aircon & TV bagged up with a Sanitised sticker on it. Which in this day & age with Covid is a great idea. The Jumbuck needs to start refurbishing these rooms, starting with ripping out the flooring and replacing it with hard flooring so that there are no doggy smells. Just because we travel with a dog, doesn't mean we love our rooms to smell like Dog!

Stayed in one the the "pet friendly" rooms as the roads were closed. It was expensive and horrible. There was an over powering smell of cat urine, pet hairall oround the base of the bed cover, carpets were stained and filthy, mould everywhere, the shower sprayed everywhere but down! supposed to be self contained, & while there was a kettle, toaster and microwave & small fridge, and tea n coffee supplied there was no cutlery. The office and check in was at other their motel next door. I wasnt expecting anything flash by any means but this was disgusting& very over priced for the $157/night never again!!

We enjoyed our overnight stay with our 2 dogs. The grassed area was great for our dogs to relax in the afternoon. We liked watching the kangaroos laze nearby as well. The room was simple but tidy. Staff at the Albert Motel (for check-in) were welcoming and helpful, especially seeing as it was Christmas Eve.
