We found this motel to be modern and clean. The size of the rooms were above average and no noise could be heard from other rooms. The TV was large but there was no toaster as there is in most other places we stayed at. A pleasant surprise was the two recliners but one wouldn’t recline which was reported to...

Dear DeanMcoz, Thank you for your review . I apologize for not being able to repair your recliner mechanism. We thought it prudent to leave it there as it is more comfortable, even without the mechanism, than what we could have replaced it with during repair. We should have communicated this to you at the time. As I have stated...

Lovely motel situated right in town. Although the decor is still in the 70s there has been no expense spared on the bedding - extremely comfortable and great for a sound nights sleep. The room was a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Dear SandyMcN, Thank you for your review. It is always appreciated when our guests remark on the quality of our beds. Our opinion is that high quality beds are a cornerstone of a good motel/hotel stay. Our beds are certainly a very high quality , Australian made product. I stayed in a hotel in Brisbane city central last week. The...

Having caught the train to Longreach from Brisbane this motel was conveniently located across the road from the station. We had a room on the first floor which overlooked an indoor garden. Our room was large, very clean and well decorated. There was only a 5 minute walk to the main street. I would recommend a stay here if holidaying...

Dear Pam D, Thank you for your comments. Our location is certainly something which is consistently at the top of our positive feedback list on forums, face to face and in room feedback forms. I see you are another traveler who came by rail on the Spirit Of The Outback . It's a fantastic service and, particularly in times of...

My wife and myself stayed at this Motel during our Outback Adventures in Longreach and Winton with Great Value Holidays. Damian & family really made us feel welcome. The steaks and barbecue on the first night was awesome and started us off on the right foot for the rest of our holiday. The continental breakfast was more than adequate but...

Have stayed at this motel 3 times now over about 10 years. Always been happy with it. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is great handy to the Railway Station if you arrive by train. The Rsl is just around the corner, it offers good food. A short walk to the town centre. There is a pathway to...

Dear Maggieb168, Thank you for your comments and also for your return custom. You have certainly seen some changes in the time you have been visiting us . When you first stayed here all those years ago, wifi was but a blip on the horizon and like something from Star Trek. Things have certainly changed in the last couple of...

Stayed there for 2 nights late in April 2016. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and strong, the room was clean and modern with good seating and a balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful with tour bookings. They saved me some money by suggesting a multiple booking rather than single tours. Didn't eat there but chose instead...

Dear Kevin R, Thank you for your comments. You have encapsulated those things our "regulars"and many other guests have articulated as most important in regard to "clean and modern". The "modern"being higher quality beds, larger than required tvs, well maintained split systems etc , rather than , for instance, the replacing of perfectly functional floor tiles in the bathroom at...

Great motel in the outback. Friendly and helpful staff and proprietors. Excellent restaurant, rooms very comfortable - all in all a great stay. Good location right across from the railway station and a close walk to the main street. Easy 15-20 min walk to the Stockman's Hall of Fame and Qantas Museum. Loved our stay in this friendly Qld country...
