Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in the caravan park on a powered site for two adults which cost $30 or $27 for over 65 year olds. A Kui Parks discount was also available. I received a friendly welcome and the discount was offered. Unlike most caravan parks, particularly the big chains, a great deal of thought had been put into the guests’ comfort and needs. I was also told that the price is not increased for high season. There was a dump point and the park is pet friendly.
This was a very cute and quirky little park. The sites were flat and grassed in well maintained grounds. The facilities were exceptionally clean and convenient with enough hooks. There was a separate private bathroom with an excellent disability-access fit-out. The laundry had one washer and one drier for $4 each using $1 coins. The camp kitchen was cute, clean and quirky. There was an indoor fire for happy hours as well as two outdoor fire pits if numbers warrant it.
The pleasant little town of Killarney was an easy walk way and had a nice pub. The park is situated at the base of the short tourist drive into the ranges with a lovely lookout and three waterfalls which were flowing. In fact there are many natural attractions in the area and we were offered a tourist map on arrival.

Ray and Leeonie are great hosts who take a lot of pride in their caravan park and motel. The facilities were clean and tidy.... amenities were always spotless and communal kitchen well-equipped and immaculate. Sites were grassy and relatively flat so it was easy to set up our camper trailer. The hosts were always on site to lend a helping hand and always cleaning up and checking facilities. Each afternoon, they supplied nibblies in the communal kitchen so guests could gather and share stories which was a lovely, personal touch for all staying.

I don’t normally write reviews but I was so impressed with the Sundown Motel caravan park that I thought I needed to. It was a pleasure to stay there, so clean and tidy and comfortable. The small little touches to the room such as fresh flowers, bowl of goodies.... chips and chocolates. We will definitely be staying there again. There was a main communal kitchen area was very impressive.

On our first caravan adventure we came by chance to this delightful caravan park & motel set in a lovely small town with great scenery and 4WD adventure nearby.
Our hosts Ray & Leeonie provided a friendly welcome, some helpful caravanning tips and a happy hour opportunity to meet our fellow travellers. They have decorated the park with a sense of humour with their creative sculptures and fittings.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are very happy to recommend it to others.

We stayed with family and friends and had a lovely time. Great location, very friendly, helpful owners who go the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable. We enjoyed cooking in the old wood stove, great roast. The park and amenities are very clean. We will definitely be back.

Haven’t stayed for a couple of years and delighted to find this park still beautifully cared for and clean conveniences. So enjoyed our stay which was too short. Planning another longer stay soon. One recommendation would be for another cabin as it’s very hard to secure a booking. 👍🏼

We are so glad we've found Killarney Sundown! So friendly, clean and welcoming. The camp kitchen is fantastic and so quirky, really delightful. Walk into town, short drive to lots of bushwalks and waterfalls, stunning high country drives. We'll be back!

Best caravan park we have ever stayed at. Excellent hosts with a great sense of humour. They make you feel like life long friends. The amenities are spotless (count the hooks in the shower cubicles) as is the whole park. Large grassy sites and an excellent camp kitchen and Happy Hour. And check out all the little quirky things around the park. Congratulations Ray and Leeonie on a job well done.
