We have just stayed here on the 4 night, pay for 3 deal on a powered caravan site. We cannot speak more highly of the place. It is beautiful, lake views were magnificent, amenities very clean and beautifully maintained grounds. Lots of bbq's, fish cleaning facilities etc. The daily visit from the pelican at the fish cleaning site was a...

Thank you to all the staff at Somerset Dam for the lovely park and clean facilities. Our 4 day break was very relaxing and although it was very busy we did not feel over crowded. We will definitely be coming back and would like to stay longer.

The scenery is beatiful, the location perfect, accommodation rustic. They're the pluses. The warning? Management of the park is appalling and disorganised. PM me if you want specific detail. We were there for a 100 person wedding. The manager was heard to say "there are too many people with the same surname". The people in one cabin arrived for a...

It's wonderful to see how much you enjoyed the scenery, location and accommodation. The attitude of our park managers is something we take seriously and this is a very rare complaint for our Lake Somerset Holiday Park managers, who normally receive great feedback. We did have a wedding booked recently, and I believe what the manager may have meant was...

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay. Please understand that we take guest complaints very seriously. If a guest or group of guests do not adhere to park rules and continue to disrupt other guests, they are asked to leave. It is extremely disappointing that your experience was not a more positive one. Natalia, Guest Relations

I stayed here over the October long weekend with my wife and three young children. We were with a group of other families with young kids, hoping to enjoy some swimming, kayaking, fishing and bike riding. We had a great time during the day. It was at night that things turned feral. For the three nights we were there, there...

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, and while it's wonderful to see how much you enjoyed the location, it's disappointing that your stay was impacted as a result of other guests. The behaviour described is not tolerated at the park and it is a shame that wasn't reported to the office the following morning so that action...

Great place for kids and lake swimming. We stayed opp D-block toilets during the Sept-Oct school holidays and the qld long weekend. Arrived Thurs to Sunday and stayed unpowered tent site, 3 families. Park was jam-packed by mid-Friday. Toilet blocks were small for the numbers at the park with only 3 toilets and showers. Be great if there were toilets/showers...

Thank you kindly for taking the time to write about your stay. As you can imagine, it is a very popular spot so it can get quite busy over the holiday period and on long weekends. I'm sorry that you found the number of facilities during these busier times to be inadequate. The amenities blocks vary in size, but we...

Pros: plenty of space for camping, clean amenities, dam fantastic for fishing, boating and swimming. Nice big oval and playground for the kids. Cons: no time at night for noise to be controlled with no enforcement or security provided by the park. Some campers were very rowdy, noisy and playing loud music until the early morning.

I'm so pleased to see that your stay overall was such an enjoyable one. I would like to apologise that noise in the park continued after the quiet time of 10pm though and that this was not managed by staff. While ideally you should not have to, for future reference if you find that noise does continue after 10pm, please...
