Service was ok, drinks are cheap... food is a bit expensive for what it was... burger and chips $19... even in Mooloolaba and Noosa they're way cheaper than this? It was a packet salad on the burger and was really nothing special. I'll be back for a drink, but I'll save my money on food and eat some where else.

I used to live in the area so it was nice to go back with a group of friends to check out the town again. Sadly, it has changed heaps. The town has got very 'touristy' and with that, it has lost its very uniqueness. I thought the pub would be different but it has changed also. The meals are too highly priced for a country pub and I feel they are catering for just the tourists who are used to paying ridiculous prices. $20 for an "aussie burger' with a few chips is way too high. The burger was just a mince patty with salad. I won't recommend going back there again.

I enjoyed the craft beers brewed on-site. Plenty of hops.
The menu had a broad offering, and the open deck was a great way to enjoy it.
There is a good range of unique shops along the main street, a good park and national parks close by.

We stopped for lunch as love small country pubs.

Staff were very rude and not friendly at all.
To many dogs at the front area barking so we moved to the back area.
More dogs but not barking as much .

Beer was the worst I have ever had
No option when ordered the beer just told we were given Pilsner which I assume is brewed onsite.

Meal was ok but nothing to rave about.

One and a half hour wait for our food is too long. Kids meals were ridiculous for the price a small sliver of fish that was deep fried to an inch of its life. We were told that it was a full rack of beef ribs but only half came out. Food was cold. Very disappointing as it was for our nephews 18th birthday.

My daughter and I stayed here as an emergency accommodation requirement last night. The rooms were inexpensive at $45 per person per night therefore $90 for the two of us. It consisted of 2 single beds in a small room with very dated linen and an old and somewhat dirty sink. The carpet had not been cleaned in possibly years and felt grimy underfoot. The shared ladies bathroom had a broken showerhead and when I went down to advise the staff I was told to use the men’s communal bathroom. When we used it in the morning it was quite a shock to see how filthy it was. The floor had not been cleaned in a very long time & the tiles in the shower recess were disgusting (you would have to scrape off the dirt on the wall it was that old and dense) and the hot water tap handle was thick with black grime. Neither my daughter or I wanted to use it but ultimately had to because there was no other option. The dirty floor made us feel very uncomfortable to the point that we grabbed the bath mat from the ladies shower to put in the bottom so we didn’t have to stand on the tiles themselves. The plastic shower frame was filthy and the paint was peeling back on the ceiling as well.

Even though I had reported the broken shower head to the team the night before the next morning I went to the ladies toilet to hear another women scream out when she was hit by a the stream of water from the broken shower head. I explained that I had reported it the night before and that the only alternative was the filthy men’s facilities. Considering I had reported it I would have expected someone to have put a sign up so that no one would be exposed to the water spewing out but no of course not. I didn’t use any other facilities so cannot comment on those. It is probably one of the worst places I have stayed just simply because of the filth and lack of care. I can live with a small room with older furnishings but certainly not the lack of care in cleaning or maintenance. Personally, I’d consider it a health hazard.

This pub bistro doesn’t even deserve one star. The lunch served is probably the worst meal we have ever had the displeasure of receiving. They actually should be ashamed of themselves. This so called brisket burger had barely enough brisket and coleslaw to cover the stale bun in which it was served on. To top it off, a frozen chip was thrown into the mix of the tiny serve of chips on the side. We left feeling that we basically were charged $20 each for a stale piece of white bread. Absolutely disgusting!!

This joke of a pub is dirty , craft beer tastes like fermented sweet fruit at $10 a schooner ( supposed to be American pale ale which is NOTHING like the REAL American / Canadian pale ale I've drank over there) and the staff are rude and lazy. Considering the pubs have been closed due to covid 19 there's no excuse the pub is in its filthy state other than incompetent management and lazy bludging staff. We did have a meal and that was ok, not good , not bad , but I asked the cook (certainly no chef) a question and he snapped at me , there wasn't many in the bistro so not like he was under pressure , I have personally cooked in a pub bistro serving 300 meals in one sitting, this joker would have cooked maybe 25 meals tops , and had ample kitchen hands to assist. So never again will we stay there. Let this be a warning to you all to stay away and travel a short distance to Maleny or Woodford where the people are nice , beer is great and food excellent for same price as dog kenilworth pub.
EEEEEEEK!

Shocking service & absolutely the rudest staff! (Eye rolls, snappy comments, huffs & puffs and couldn’t crack a smile if they tried). Honestly couldn’t get over this place. Food was awful, purchased 3 meals and none of us could finish. My slaw was sour and inedible. Really put a dampener on our trip. Avoid this pub at all cost!

Our party of four stopped here for lunch during a great driving day out. The menu was varied and exceptional - we would have happily ordered any number of dishes. We all ended up with main course salads - two of us chose the haloumi and falafel, one the smoked lamb and one the brisket, plus a side of loaded fries to share. All the meals were delicious and our beers tasty and cold. The host came for a chat too and he was lovely. Don't hesitate to give this pub a go in this charming town!
