Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recently spent some quality family time at Kookaburra Park, and it was a delightful experience for all of us. My son and his family booked a caravan site, and my 5-year-old grandson was absolutely thrilled with the place. He loves animals and exploring, and Kookaburra Park did not disappoint.

Every morning, he eagerly got up for the animal feeds—guinea pigs, deer, and pigs. He was enchanted by the goats and a charming chicken that laid eggs. Watching him interact with the animals was pure joy.

The New Year's Eve family disco was a highlight, creating wonderful memories with fun and laughter for everyone. The park also had a coffee caravan serving our morning coffee fix, and another that appeared on select evenings offering delicious burgers and the best crispy potato chips.

Overall, Kookaburra Park provided a relaxing experience that helped us recharge. It was the perfect family getaway, and we can’t wait to return!

We are repeat customers, we’ve stayed five times now. Just love Kookaburra Park. It is such a lovely atmosphere. You get plenty of space for your camp, not crammed in at all. Our kids love the animal feeding and the Guinea pig cuddles. All in all, I would say that Kookaburra Park delivers exactly what it promises. I have read the negative reviews and the only conclusion is that those people did not know what they were booking. It’s fabulous and we will keep coming again.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Kookaburra Park! We had a group of 10 and booked the Garden Studio and camping area around it. Our group included grandparents, aunties/uncles, parents, children and a dog.
Firstly, we thought the Garden Studio area was the best spot as we were close to amenities, we had a private chill area with hammocks which was perfect for our sensory loving child to swing. It was so shady and also right next door to the fairy garden and a short walk to the animals.
We 100% found Kookaburra Park to be family friendly. In fact, the park was full the weekend we stayed and all other visitors we saw were families, except for 1 couple camping next door. Everything is catered around the children such as animal feeding, guinea pig cuddles, plenty of space for riding bikes, snacks and ice blocks at the shop, swings on trees and shallow waters for swimming. One of our children has additional needs and we found nothing but respect for all our family members.
We found the amenities to be clean and spacious and loved the mirror counter.
We will certainly be back to support this wonderful place!

Unfortunately on our arrival, our pop-top camper failed mechanically, although the hosts (and great fellow campers around) attempted to help resolve, it meant we had to cancel our trip shortly after arriving. The hosts took no effort in showing goodwill and were adamant in charging full rates. The male host became quite rude with us asking the question. Never will return due to this reaction from the hosts - and won’t be recommending to friends. Disappointing really as lovely spot but hosts seem to be money hungry. Short term cash versus long term customers. You’ve lost out there in the long run.

Just ok. Most expensive park of our trip and yet provides the least amount of facilities.

Very unlikely we will ever stay again, no rules are enforced, other guests allowed to do whatever they like, music blaring day and night, smokers smoking constantly into our camp despite it being supposedly smoke free, dogs allowed to roam free despite no dogs being allowed in the area we were in.

Camp sites are poorly maintained and overgrown. Cabins covered in mould.

Only one female shower and one female toilet for our area. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper so we couldn't use them and there was no one around to ask. Absolutely no phone signal or internet until Kenilworth (8 mins drive away).

Owners not seen once on site despite staying 5 days.

Hi Erin, I've only just seen this review for some reason but want to ask for some more information! We were not present in the park much of that time having had a baby but it doesn't sound like our park managers at the time provided the experience that we are proud of at the park. We would love for you to come back and having the proper Kookaburra Park experience! We have three separate amenities blocks, over catering by 300% per our capacity, absolutely enforce the smoke free rule and are alarmed to hear dogs were in the no dog zone. I'm thinking your review was hidden from us by previous staff, but despite being 2 years ago would love for you to touch base. - Emma

Our little family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 3 and 5) plus Grandma went camping over the Easter long weekend and it was fantastic. We are so impressed with the facilities and friendliness from the owners. We stayed in The Nook with two tents and loved waking up to the view of the dam, windmill and goats. We had a blast cuddling with Guinea Pigs, big Pigs and feeding the Deer. The animals are safe, friendly to pat and give your left over veggie scraps to which was a highlight for our kids.
I especially love that they don't overbook so you can actually have space to yourself and not simply first in first serve.
Keep up the hardwork Emma and Adam, we will definitely be telling all our friends and returning!

Lovely scenery but extremely overpriced for what is provided, difficult to access power and water for multiset up sites. Very poor and unsafe electrical services at powered site no drainage points just dumped to grass. Unapproachable, not family friendly, discrimatory towards children with medical conditions and try to charge you around every corner without approval.

Apalling. Stay away.
The farm animals were nice. But the cottage had cracked windows, shower leaked, towels stunk, bathroom did not drain so water pooled, walls were asbestos, cooking facilities were abysmal. Whole cottage needed a deep clean.
Photos on the website do not reflect reality.

Hi there! We'd love for you to get in touch to give more details. Our cabins book out months, and with repeat guests, in advance with no negative feedback given. Things like showers not draining properly is great feedback to receive so we can fix it in time for our next guests arrivals. The walls are not asbestos they are James Hardy fibre-cement. Cooking facilities are exactly as pictured and listed on our website which is an electric hob, induction oven and microwave plus toaster and kettle. Any other information regarding your stay please reach out as we aim to provide incredible experiences with our cabin guests getting the camping experience without needing to bring their own setup. The part alarming us the most is that we are 'intolerant of children'

Thank you Kookaburra Park- 3 kids and 2 dogs with 1 solo Mama and I’ve never felt so relaxed. The park is perfect for the kids to explore and play - I loved seeing the vision boards too and being part of the ‘early days!’ We will definitely be back to say hello to our beautiful deer friends again. The animal feeding was such a lovely way to start our day. Thank you 😊

Thank you Emma and Adam for a wonderful weekend at Kookaburra Park.

To be so friendly, welcoming and always ready for a chat is amazing considering the huge task of running the park.

The amenities block was cleaned regularly, even though it was muddy and rainy they managed to keep it clean.

The kids loved the morning animal feeding and that they were able to feed the pigs at any time.

They did laps of the park on their bikes and enjoyed exploring.

We will be back, thats for sure!
