Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our family just stayed a night and thought the location was amazing. We loved the great access to the river...had lots of fun, and the open spaces. The cost a little pricey of $54 for a family of five with no showers. Was looking forward to a really peaceful stay, just to get away for the weekend. The other campers were friendly and respectful of each other, except when it got to night we were so disappointed when we had to put up with this rowdy group who were loud, had music blaring, laser light show, doing burn outs until well past the curfew of 10:30pm. It was a little scary to see what might happen next. A shame the owners could not patrol the camp ground and ensure the curfew is followed. We have been to other campgrounds where it was much busier and the owners do a check to ensure the noise curfew is followed...it was peaceful! Not the idea of a peaceful weekend away which we were hoping for

I love this place, I've camped twice now most recently for the October long weekend - weather was great, swimming in the creek during the day then sitting around the fire with some tunes at night..

I recommend if going in a peak periods to arrive a couple days earlier to get a good spot.

I visited in July and thought it got packed the but I was wrong, October long weekend was busier than I could of imagined - some campers were even forced (no other space) to camp directly near the portable toilets which I could imagine wouldn't be too great.

Customer service is lacking, I found the lady at the gate to be very unhelpful and rude, however, there are pros and cons to camping in this kind of place and I guess that's one of the cons...

I would definitely go back but would like to see less people packed into the farm as it takes away from the experience.

Great spot but busier than expected, even in school term time. Second time here, as we came for Easter 2022, when it was really overcrowded. A noisy group with music blaring well past the so-called 10.30pm noise curfew has really spoiled our start to the weekend this time.

Unfortuantly this place is going to be loved to death on long weekends and holiday periods as word is out about the great swimming and space . The result is that it can be very crowded along the river and the $15/ per person per night is right up there with campsites that offer clean flushing toilets ,clean hot showers, camp kitchens , rubbish bins and a shop with all you may need, none of which this camp ground has. Ice was not delivered in the afternoon as arranged, portaloos not cleaned or restocked with paper in 3 days , no skips provided for rubbish ( and not advertised you'll need to take it all home with you ) and no enforcement of dogs on leads or owners cleaning up after them . And this was the weekend BEFORE EASTER .You can have the most beautiful river site and best swimming( when water level is up) however it will be the gripes you will remember as they start to outweigh the location.

Fantastic camp sites. Easy to find, just off the kenilworth -Eumundi Rd. "Free range" old school camping that is becoming more and difficult to find. Select your own private camp site . Friendly owners . Great river. Fire places. We will be back soon.

Love camping here, you pick your spot and pitch your tent, port-a-loos are spread out so no long walks. If no fire ban you are allowed a fire. Stream is always fun if it isnt low, but the dogs still love it. Great place for kids and families of all ages.

We were booked in here for 5 nights over New Year's Eve. We weren't expecting it to be busy because when I phoned and booked online I was told that only a few others had booked in. Obviously when we arrived and the place was absolutely packed and it was hard to find a decent camping spot we realised what we were in for. We've camped in very busy areas at peak times before so weren't too perturbed as at most well run camp sites people generally are decent and follow the rules. Unfortunately at this place the staff/property owners seem more interested with sitting at the front gates and making you show your wrist band as you enter or leave the property. During our stay we did not see a single person running the camp actually walk/drive through it! Both nights were incredibly rowdy. There were large groups of young people drinking heavily, yelling, swearing, fighting, playing incredibly loud music. This morning when we finally had enough there were even police and paramedics that had showed up due to some sort of incident/dispute. And there were dogs roaming through the campsite, which we were uncomfortable with particularly with little children in tow. I saw people constantly speeding through the site. The port a loos were bad but I suppose that's to be expected at a peak time of year anyway. We left today after only spending 2 of our booked 5 nights.

It's such a shame because the entire kenilworth area is absolutely gorgeous and swimming in the mary river was wonderful and probably the only enjoyable thing about our stay!
Some of the campers were quite friendly but there were quite a few really ruining it for everyone else.
I felt the need to write this review so that any other families looking for a quiet country escape can plan a little better than we did and go during a much quieter time of the year.

Booked for the long weekend jan 2020 however due to circumstances have to cancel. The worst type of communication let’s just say they don’t answer the phone (rang 5 times different days different times) sent a text message. Sent them a PM via Facebook and once I left a negative review on Facebook they answered my PM asking for my bank acc and booking number. Once I answered back they blocked me. So I have now lost $75 I would never stay there ever

This campground was just beautiful. We stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved it. We watched platypus every morning and afternoon and it was lovely and quiet - we walked around the property and also talked to the owners - they were very friendly - we loved it being so natural - no cabins, no showers - we had our own shower but you could get a lovely hot shower in town for $1 - they did have lots of portaloos though. This was our type of camping - please don’t change it. We will be back.
