Comfortable accomodation, fantastic feed and welcoming host

We will definitely come again! Room is basic but very clean and has everything you need. Julie couldn’t be a lovelier host and the meal at the hall was fantastic value and a diverse spread of options both in the hotbox and salad bar - plus dessert!

Good service and value

We had two basic cabins. Both comfortable with no fancy trimmings. Easy walk into town to the two pubs for dinner. The owner/manager Julie and husband are wonderful and full of local knowledge. We noticed a large communal barbeque area that was well situated, clean and busy. Swimming pool and skate ramp nearby.

Park is not what it seems

The positive reviews for this site do not reflect the currcurrent state of the park. This park was set up to cater to the mining and construction industry operating in the area, this has all now finished and the park is left in a rundown condition full of Dongas and vacated Donga sites. You would be much better off looking for alternative camping in this town which is very friendly and accomodating, i.e showgrounds

Barry, I'm sorry to hear your review. While the park was not originally set up to cater for the workforce, we did at one time have a large workforce stay with us and we did make amendments to the park to allow for this. The dongas you refer to are a product called King Vans. They are actually very lovely and clean and modern on the inside, and many tourists really enjoy their stay in them. All the best. Jade

Quiet, Friendly & Welcoming

Stayed for a week in June. Julie is a fabulous hostess and we are so glad to have stayed here. The site for our van was a bit different from some parks but the neighbours were quiet and friendly and we had our own ensuite. It is a rustic place with great amenities including a top quality camp kitchen area. Julie will provide some meals if there are enough people in and her cooking is a delight. Our steaks were cooked as we asked and they were so very tender. All this with a wide range of vegetables and then dessert. Her price was amazing! We enjoyed the town area also with friendly people, a great café with interesting and appetizing foods.

A lovely place to stay

I stated at this park twice and each time I was made so welcome by Julie, the host. The camp kitchen would have to be among the best I have used and Julie even provides tea, coffee and sugar as well as knives,forks, spoons, cups and plates. I highly recommend this park to anyone staying in Jandowae.

Quiet and Budget stay

We stopover here for Bunya Mountains. Clean and comfortable ensuite. We enjoyed a quiet night and saw beautiful milkyway. The restaurant closed (may be due to Easter Holiday). Breakfast time ends at 7:30am. The warder is nice and helpful. It would be perfect if there could be more chairs (only one stool for 3 people) and a small dinner table inside the family cabin (without balcony). There is covered dining area with sinks, TV and microwave oven for family gathering.

Great place to stay for business or pleasure

We have just spent the weekend at Jandowae Caravan Park on a business trip. We chose to stay at this site as it offered accommodation as well as meals. What a great experience. Our Host Julie was wonderful, nothing was a problem. The cabin was clean and well equipped, with air conditioning, fridge, microwave, tea & coffee making facilities and a private en suite. The bed was comfortable and the meals were superb, huge selection and all cooked to restaurant quality. Would have no hesitation in recommendation AAOK Jandowae Caravan Park to anyone looking for quality accommodation in town. Thanks Julie for looking after us and looking forward to seeing you on our next trip to Jandowae

Wonderful Locationand comfortble cabin

Just spent 4 nights in a double bed cabin which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Good water pressure in shower, microwave, fridge and flat screen television which worked perfectly. I visited Jandowae for the bi-annual Timbertown Festival and discovered that my accommodation was perfectly located. Only an 8 minute walk to the main part of town and right next door to the Bowls Club and Showground. It was very easy to be able to walk to events and, despite being so close to everything, the cabin was nice and quiet. Friendly host, Julie, was very helpful and explained there "where" and "what" of the Festival activities. Will definite stay again and recommend.

very good,would be happy to stay again

We stayed 1 night 27 March 2016, The manager was very helpful, our cabin was basic but clean and tidy and great value.The bathroom was a good size with a good hot shower. We had no issues while we were there and would be happy to stay again.

Much improved

Wasn't here when this lovely little place got the negative reviews but now I'm lucky enough to have experienced the new manager De Clearly she knows what she's doing because I've stayed in parks all over Australia and this is one of the best value for money places I've ever had the pleasure of staying. It's extremely clean, it's peaceful, well organised and very homely. De is very obliging and tries her very best to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy Pets are allowed here as well and there's lots of green grass for them to run and play The cabins have spotless en suite bathrooms and TV air con microwave etc. and while it's true that there are some workers accom vans here only some are occupied so it's very peaceful Exceptionally good long term rates and really good value for retired or such like looking to stay a while with a little pet Give it a go …
