Traditional motel with old but fairly well-kept rooms. Bedding was clean and comfortable. It is right on the highway so some truck noise at night but with air con on, it wasn’t too loud. The frog outside our room on a very rainy night was louder. Spa rooms were separate from the others and it meant the bathroom was a good size, even though quite dated. We appreciated the complementary cold bottled water provided. Price quite reasonable. Well-located across the road from the excellent visitor centre with wetlands walk (where you can feed turtles), art gallery, library etc.

Friendly welcoming owners.
The motel rooms are very small with sub optimal parking conditions. The particular room I resided in had a chemical smell to it upon re-entering with the windows closed and aircon unit turned off.
The reason I am giving only 3 stars is because the lack of power points at the bed head end. It is an absolute necessary amenity when on call and conducting shift work. Otherwise is was just an ordinary hotel.

Managers Teresa and Steven are most welcoming. Room was spotless. We Decided to dine in and had the steak and chicken schnitzel and not only well cooked but a very ample serves. Road noise did not bother us at all with the air on. Our 2nd stay and will be back.

This is an old motel which has been modernised. It is one of the cleanest hotel or motel rooms we have been to in a long time. It was also serviced daily which a lot don’t seem to do lately. The setting was lovely. And the room a good size. It was central to everything. A beautiful wetlands park across the road. Heaps of power points, a bonus small fridge which froze everything great. A few minuses it was advertised with a kitchenette, utensils etc. there was no sink, cutlery or crockery, just a microwave, fridge tea/coffee and jug. The bed was not conducive to a great sleep, felt and heard every spring when I turned over and the only sink was in the bathroom and the same size as my iPad. Not great. But once again it was nice and so clean

Friends family just stayed, and after complaining to the intoxicated, fill in management couple, about the wifi not working (needed for work purposes), their resolution, rather than apologise or attempt to fix it, was to engage in a full blown alcohol fueled arguement and throw them out, in the middle of the night, leaving them cold, with no where to stay or plug in a very essential oxygen machine.
I hope this is not the norm and that the actual management are careful in the future, who,s hands they leave their business in while away.
Obviously not a positive stay :(

I was welcomed by wonderful customer service. My dinner was delicious and the beer was cold. The rooms were clean and the shower had good pressure. A good little stop on any road trip in the region. Loved the little outside area with lights!

All we needed was a place to crash for the night after arriving late and leaving early. We were greeted by the friendly hosts who made us very welcome. This motel is clean and tidy with comfortable bed and pillows. Was quite noisy from road traffic but that died down around 8pm. Nothing fancy but all we needed. Thank you

Not to far from town, plenty of paddocks to walk the fur children who where more than welcome. So good we stayed a second night after the shocker we had stayed at the night before. If travelling through again would definitely stay again.
