Stayed here 2 June based on prior comments that overset my expectations. Location is on the main highway however I experienced little noise that was a plus along with the friendly check in. Rooms are not as good as described though, my had a musty smell and the very small fridge was noisy throughout the night.
The furnishings are dated and a little worn, my bed sagged a little but was still acceptable, the bathroom had a sign on the wall (appeared old) that referred they were aware of needed maintenance. The tap fittings were rusty and there was evidence of mould in the shower. Shower pressure was OK.
Its reasonable but would for the $145 overnight price (and no stand by by cheaper option) I expect I would have been as comfortable in the other cheaper options available

Karen the Owner or Manager was lovely. Very friendly and helpful.

The room itself was dated. Needs renovation.
Especially the water kettle was disgusting. We drove to Maccas for take away coffee/ Tea.
Beds were clean but Mattress was too firm for us.
Bathroom was huge and the waterpressure in the shower was amazing
No noises from the other rooms next to us, but outside a lot of people were talking and smoking. We had to go outside to tell them to be quiet.
They stopped.
I believe they are starting to renovate some rooms, which will be great.

The Fish and Chips store opposite is highly to recommend
Fresh, tasty and very friendly service. They close I beliebe at 7.30 pm

I stayed here over the Christmas period, the motel staff were lovely. The rooms were spacious and clean. The TV is very outdated and small compared to the room size and distance from the bed and the remote was terrible.
Otherwise wasn't a bad stay.
I think ingham motels are overpriced in general for what they offer.
They also need to get rid of the mini bar its over priced (I know it's a mini bar) and clogs up the small fridge as it is.

We booked this property on short notice as we were in the area and wanted to do Wallaman Falls (a must see) and decided to stay a couple of nights.

The room was clean and comfortable. Not the most modern but had everything you needed. As we arrived on a weekend the office closed at noon, but we got an SMS with instructions to open the after hours box to get the key so that was fine.

Location was excellent as it was walking distance to the main street and hotels/restaurants and right next to the excellent visitor centre and the tyto wetlands (which are definitely worth a visit).

Had a nice little pool to cool off in as well.

Would stay again if we are ever in this part of Queensland.

Passing through Ingham, few choices when booking and end up booking at Tropixx Motel. No regrets: we are well received, the room is spacious and the bedding comfortable. The atmosphere is a little outdated, but the room is well equipped: fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery and what to maintain, iron and ironing board, sofa, tables and chairs. The bathroom is functional, with a very good number of towels and hygiene products in dispenser. The hair dryer, on the other hand, did not work. A few ants in the room, but the management specifies, insects are part of the life of the tropics!
Good location, close to the center and its amenities, and a few meters from Tyto Parksland (bird watching area - Watch out for crocodiles). Free parking.
Good value for money.
Two areas for improvement: 1- Curtains are not occlusive enough to properly hide the glow of day in the morning. 2- The wifi a little too weak.

In summary, establishment without fuss that will satisfy the traveler in transit. Thank you for the good experience, we recommend the property!

Nice comfortable room with a great shower. Clean and tidy with a friendly and helpful voice on the phone when checking in. Very accommodating by letting me park a large trailer onsite as well. Also recommended places to get a meal as the restaurant was closed with the current virus situation. Thumbs up all round.

I wasn't sure what to expect as the reviews are mixed. Firstly the blonde lady in reception (not sure of her name) is absolutely lovely and I would stay there again purely for her customer service. She was very helpful and sweet.
There wasn't any availability but they put me in room 2 which was a "disabled room". The room was fine. Nothing special, nothing terrible. The pool was adequate, the BBQ area was run down, but also I think other guests had made a mess and just left it.
It's definitely a 3 star place, and it's perfectly fine for a couple of nights stay.
You can walk to the town centre in about 7 minutes and greyhound bus stop is nearby.
The only thing I didn't enjoy about my stay was some of the other guests were noisy and because my room was near the BBQ area and they were hanging out there I could hear them.
Travelling as a solo pregnant woman. I didn't feel unsafe.

Decent rooms with comfy beds and a good shower. Wild Local Prawns being just over the road is a huge bonus! Ice and quiet when we stayed. Good value too. Kitchenette welcome. A/C worked well as did the internet.

We arrived in Ingham and consulted trip advisor for accommodation. We made a booking at Troppixx and when we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles by mother and daughter. Our room was beautiful, clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Easy check in and out, mimi bar if you needed it.

Didn't get a chance to stay at Troppix Motel & Restaurant. Booked a 4 night stay with these people during school holidays in June 2024. Arrived at reception to find they had made the booking for July 24. Poo happens but unfortunately, apology is a poor bedfellow. If booking with Troppix make sure that you get written confirmation. Otherwise, no room for you.
