We booked the Koala cuddle package which included two nights in a 6 mixed dorm ensuite bungalow. The rooms were nice and clean even though all the insects were only waiting to fly/jump in ... obviously you are in the middle of the nature so of course you will have insects everywhere. The Kitchen didn't look that welcoming so we...

It's a really nice hostel, you're sleeping in huts, can cuddle a koala and go swimming on the amazing horseshoe bay beach which is only 4 minutes in walking distance. The kitchen was really nice and clean everytime we came in there and we really liked the bean bags to chill out in the evenings! A really nice place to...

The accomodation is really basic and it is more like a camping with all the insects in the shared bathrooms etc. But the point is you live in the jungle and as close as you can be to wildlife. At night little possums and wallabies will visit you as you will also see small kangaroos around. The tour they organise...

Nice, cosy place to stay and not expensive either. Wifi included which was good. Shame that the hostel doesn't provide any breakfast of some kind considering they only do pizza. It wouldn't be difficult to provide a basic breakfast service. Shame that they charge you a deposit to use a bit of cutlery to cook for yourself. As far as...

Too a punt and camped at a hostel here . Great spots , kitchen had what I needed including a frig and spots for dry food . International flavour of people was fantastic as my son and I got to talk to a few and enjoyed there stories which I'm glad I didn't book in a hotel. (Though I did...

I recently stayed here for two nights with a friend and thought the hostel was really good. It was quite far from the ferry terminal but there was a bus which took us right to the entrance of the hostel and to most other places on the island so it was still very accessible. It was also only a four...

We did not stay at the village, we went on the koala tour and it was fantastic. The animals have well maintained facilities. Ranger Yana was very informative and patient with the large group of visitors while maintaining the comfort of the animals. The koala hug was the highlight for me, holding a 9kg snake was a great opportunity to...

We had an enjoyable stay here. The cabins were basic but clean. The wildlife on the site was really cool, waking up to wallaby's outside your room is a lovely experience. The kitchen was clean but lacked bug protection. Really nice atmosphere here in the evenings with games and music. We enjoyed the breakfast with the koalas, it was a...

I went on the koala tour and really enjoyed it. The animals seem to be well looked after and the guide Yana was very informative and funny and spoke very clearly which is good as it appears they get alot of international backpackers (is joined to a yha hostel). I did not stay at the hostel so I cannot comment...

I came across this on a day trip from Towsnville to Magentic Island. Hopped off the bus ($7 day pass - very good value) and had a look. The tour is well worth it as you have a knowledgeable guide. I think the extra to hold the koala is also worth it as it is on many peoples bucket list...
