We've just finished our second stay with Philip and his mate Griffin and yet again absolutely loved our stay. Out first stay was a couples weekend away in one of the queen rooms and this time we brought the kids and used the cottage at the back. Both times the accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. Philip always thinks of the little things to make out stay even more enjoyable. From the moment we arrive we feel spoilt, the welcome drinks and chats about local activities, the beautiful gardens, animal and bird life and a host that goes above and beyond. He cooks a delicious breakfast on the patio or reserves a table for you at Nourish cafe. Both options are delicious! It is a couple of minutes drive from the Horseshoe bay esplanade, so it is handy to have a car, but Philip does have bikes available for you to use. We're Townsville locals and wanted something different from our normal hotel/motel stay. Couldn't recommend it more. Thanks again Philip, we'll be back.…
From the moment we arrived Phillip was the ultimate host. His knowledge of Magnetic Island is second to none. The bush retreat where we stayed was ideal. Phillip give us advise on the best parts of the island to visit and best places to eat. We weren’t disappointed. Phillip even washed my car which was very dirty. Thanks Phillip for the great stay we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.
Had the most wonderful relaxing time with the host who was so helpful and friendly and so accommodating when we got there and his time to show my wife an I around magnetic Island, relaxing in the heated pool which is set at 28 degrees, location was ideal, not too far from beach, surrounded by tranquil natural bushland with occasional visits from the wildlife, I would recommend to anyone to stay at this b&b. Phil is one of the best host that we have come across in years, Griffin (dog) was also friendly and playful, we will be going back for many years to come. Keep up the good work 😃😃👍👍.
We loved our stay here and actually were sad to leave. There is a good vibe around the B&B. Phil is a very interesting and warm person. Some people would say; an old soul. He lives in the present and helps the guests also to do so. That worked out with us perfectly! We enjoyed all the animals surrounding the B&B and the lovely breakfast. And of course the beautiful island with the unspoiled bays and beaches. But we will never forget Phil and his friend Griffin. Thank you so much for welcoming us! Jochem & Jedida
We have just returned home from a 4 night stay. Phil is so amazing, and generous taking us to special places of beauty, and to see the wildlife. It was so interesting sharing with overseas visitors, as we ate the delicious breakfast. Have to say, the fruit salad prepared daily by Phil is absolutely superb, along with fresh eggs from the roaming chickens. .Because we stayed 4 nights we were offered a very special trip to an isolated beach for a picnic dinner while watching the sunset, those memories will be with us always.Griffin, his loving dog also wormed his way into our hearts. We were hoping to see koalas in their natural habitat, and we certainly did!!! Thanks to Phil we even attended a movie under the stars, at a nearby venue. We appreciated Phil's advice with planning our stay, and hiking tracks .As Seniors and enjoying life, we appreciated his care and are so grateful we chose to stay in their B&B. Thanks so much again Phil, and our best wishes to Jess and you for the future..…
