Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the family room adjacent to the manager's unit, which was a converted garage. That pretty much sums up any negative comments for our stay.

The unit was spacious comprising two double beds and two singles. The a/c and fan combination allowed the room to be kept to a comfortable temperature. The pool was enjoyable. Noise wasn't an issue from the main roads (some distance away), nor from other motel guests. The room was clean and fairly well maintained.

Excellent sleep...why? Really CLEAN ROOM, tiled floor so no manky hotel carpet smell. Such a comfortable bed- looked like a brand new mattress, brick walls so no noise from adjoining room, airflow- security grilles on windows so you could leave them open, clean aircon. Fine young man at reception on arrival. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Our room was well presented, clean & roomy. Liked that it had both front & back access. Parking outside room. Outside the room was a small table & chairs that was in a shaded position. Lots of room inside for luggage. Microwave. Free wifi. Good air conditioning. Pool. Conveniently located within walking distance to hospital, tavern, Capricornian Restaurant, McDonalds & a supermarket & a few other shops.
The shower tiles could do with a bit of attention ..a bit of mould in the grout & for some reason there were no hand towels provided. (Not an oversight because have read this issue in another review)
We are travelling with a dog & was able to book a pet friendly room for an additional $20 cleaning fee. Think this was great value & pleasant stay.

Picked this place off an on-line booking site $26 cheaper than its own website! The wife picked it as it has a pool and she wanted a cooling off dip on arrival mid afternoon (outside temp has been mid 30s all day). The room was a good size and very clean with very comfortable bed - had a good sized bathroom too. And the wife wasn’t disappointed with the pool, it was clean and shady! The staff were very helpful as well. First time driving through Emerald and next time I reckon we’ll be dragging a caravan so it’s unlikely we’ll need a room but I’d come back here in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for one night & were very happy with the room, particularly for the budget pricetag. It had everything we needed - kettle, microwave, comfy bed & good block-out curtains and was clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly & helpful and supplied a menu for nearby Chinese Takeaway, which we ordered from and had delivered. WOW ... the best Chinese food we have had in years! Delicious and plentiful!
The only negative part of our stay was that the air-conditioner was a bit noisy through the night. We had it on heat and it was fine for a while but then seemed to kick in intermittently making a bit of a racket which was disruptive to our sleep. Aside from that, we'd definitely stay again!

Just looking for a place to rest overnight on our road trip. Motel is in a quite street off the main road so noise is not an issue.
Our room (10) was very clean, the bed was super comfortable. The room looked like it had been updated reasonably recently and while I cannot comment on other rooms ours was very good.
A short drive away is the Big Easel in the park where the Info Centre is also located. We were there after closing so did not get to look inside the pioneer village.
Nice park, worth a walk through and there is a timeline with the history of Emerald as you wander along.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. The owner was horribly rude. I was a quiet, clean and extremely respectful tenant and the owner refused to extend my stay, stating that they had no availability. However, when checked online, they had numerous vacancies.

Will NEVER recommend for anyone.

Clean spacious room with good comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Good value for money accommodation close to all amenities. Certainly stay here again. Very quiet motel with little or no traffic noise. ..

This motel is shocking I would steer clear of this one if you are visiting Emerald. Terrible rooms, dirty next to no service appalling. This motel should not be rated as high as it has been, should be no more than a one star motel. Do yourself a favour and book some where else.

A one night stop on route north. A very comfortable bed, nice furnishings, off the main road, quiet. Would stay here again but remember to bring some bowls, plate and cutlery.
It was close to the main drag for shopping, restaurants. There is a beautiful park at the information centre. A small pioneer village and a time line. Also home to the Big Easel with a painting of sunflowers by Van Gogh
