I checked in here at Emerald on a work trip and wasnt expected the Taj Mahal. What I got was good service, a clean room and a comfy bed. The room was a good size and had a comfortable leather-look recliner which I thoroughly enjoyed. The work bench was a good size which was lucky because I needed it. The only downside for me was the shower - it worked and the water was fine but it had one of those old fashioned shower curtains and the draft from the shower had the effect of sucking the curtain in on me - I* didnt fancy having a cold, wet shower curtain clinging to me in the shower - the same curtain that counteless other people had experienced, so I put it away and carefully showered so as not to allow water onto the bathroom floor. Not ideal.
We stayed one night here, on the weekend before getting the train to Longreach. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities, including microwave. The location is lovely and is near shops, restaurants etc. The service was second to none. A lovely greeting when we checked in and helpful attitude all the way through. I left something of value behind and the manager called m and arranged to have it sent to me, no fuss. We had to leave at 5am for the train and they gave us a great takeaway bag with cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk and croissants to take with us, and there were take away coffee cups in the room so I had coffee in hand as I walked out of the door. We ate at the restaurant on the Saturday and it was really lovely. Highly recommend this motel if you find yourself in Emerald.
While the motel room was clean and convenient to restaurants and tavern I felt it was overpriced. As this review wants 200 characters minimum - my main point is it was overpriced @$152 per night - overpriced, overpriced, overpriced, overpriced.
Great rooms, very clean & fresh, well appointed and lovely personal touches. Very helpful, friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely gardens, lots of parking. great location in town. Thanks Dennis (mgr) for looking after us. Meals at attached Maraboon Tavern were also fantastic.
My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way through to Longreach. Basic amenities and dark accommodation. No mugs or cups, just disposable drink containers and no such luxury as bowls in the unit. Comfortable chairs, a good bed and nice shower.
Paid $150 dollars for one room for one night, bugger me no glassware or metal culery, my wife loves a glass of bubbles not very tasty out of a plastic cup, for the money you would think they could supply a glass, not very impressed
The hotel is located in heart of emerald. The room was spacious with good facilities and superior extras. Big tv, microwave, bedside lights and on site laundry. The tavern is adjacent for meals and drinks. Good value for the extras.
This is a great little motel. Dennis is a friendly and welcoming host who understands the traveller wants to get to the room and get settled. The room was beautifully clean, with a focus on the simple touches such as environmentally friendly cutlery pouches (COVID safe), luxe coffee pouches for a quick instant cuppa and takeaway containers to take your beverage on the road. Beds comfy, water is hot - a great part of our road trip.
Recent 1 night stay. The room was quite small & had been “fogged” which left an unpleasant smell. Very large cumbersome office chair which took up a lot of space. Lovely onsite restaurant offering high quality meals & good service. Had to ask for water though.
We stayed one night at the motel but could have stayed more if we had had the time. From the moment you walk into reception you are made to feel very welcome. All staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and COVID-19 safe. We went to the restaurant for dinner which was really yummy. Highly recommend the creamy prawn wrap. Breakfast was delivered to our door on time again by a friendly member of staff. Highly recommend this motel and restaurant
