2021 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Set in the heart of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest, the Daintree Ecolodge combines nature, nurture and culture in a pure rainforest environment. Believed to be over 180 million years old, and the oldest tropical lowland rainforest on Earth, the Daintree Rainforest is a rare and precious botanical treasure. Nestled amongst the foliage, the Daintree Ecolodge showcases 15 eco-friendly bayans (treehouses) immersed in the breathtaking rainforest canopy. Rise to the sound of the birds in the rainforest above, breathe-in the fresh tropical air and discover the lodge's private onsite waterfall on a leisurely stroll through the enchanting rainforest. The Daintree Ecolodge provides the perfect base to explore the treasures of the Daintree region; the only place in the world where two UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites meet (the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef)! The Daintree Ecolodge is located 110 kilometres north of Cairns (90 minutes) and 45 kilometres north of Port Douglas (40 minutes) via sealed roads.

The place was absolutely beautiful! A luxury stay in the middle of the rainforest. The staff were a highlight, especially Jodie and Oscar who made us feel so welcome and comfortable and went out of their way to make my partner’s birthday as special as it was. We would come back in a heart beat. What a treat!

Little slice of paradise in far North Queensland, this has been one of our most amazing trips in Australia EVER! The location, service, food and amazing STAFF is second to none. From the moment we parked our car we had the most wonderful service and welcome from Jodie. Her customer service and hospitality was so fantastic along with the rest of the staff who were simply brilliant. The resort is so well kept despite being surrounded by the lush green rainforest. We stayed at the rainforest banyan and couldn’t fault the room. Very clean, well kept and maintained and amazing bath products which smell Devine. Only tiny feedback is the toilet area had a weird smell not sure if that’s due to it requiring a good spray and clean. The room is spacious with a good balcony with a bath overlooking into the lush rainforests. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The spa is AMAZING the Walbul Walbul is a must try! Such a brilliant experience. Brekky is included and a really nice menu good food. Dinner- was so so so amazing every night (little pricy when you end up staying for 5 nights) Menu changes and I must stay really yummy food. The staff are so helpful. Lot of information in and around the Daintree provided and can be organised by the staff. Overall our best trip and will go back in a heartbeat. Such a brilliant location, great resort to switch off and relax and be one with nature. The sounds of the bride, rain and surrounded by lush green is such a joy. Thank you for having us

We loved our Christmas at the Ecolodge. The accommodations are super clean and comfortable. The restaurant is open-air and offers excellent local food. Vegetarian/gluten free options are limited, but available. The included breakfast served generous portions and the coffee/tea are excellent. Attentive staff rounded out the experience. Shout out to GM Pheobe, Chef James and front-of-house staffer Abbey. You all personally made our trip extra special!

Amazing stay at the lodge! The place is just magical, lots of nature around. The room was perfect, clean and with a great balcony overlooking the lagoon. Staff extremely kind and the restaurant is amazing and super convenient, we dined there everyday through our stay. Best coffee I’ve had in a long time!
