Detailed Reviews
We arrived on a long weekend when not much was open but despite this our stay in Cunnamulla was enjoyable. The Park was well equipped, the owners were helpful and we had a very pleasant grassed site for our tent. The short trip to the Allan Tannock Weir was worth the visit and the yummy camel burger at the local cafe was a hit. We visited the excellent Cunnamulla Water Tank Art exhibit a number of times to appreciate the different light perspectives evident at various times of the day.

I have been taking tour groups to the Cunnamulla Tourist Park for many years and the facilities for camping as well as the cabins are first class. There is always plenty of grass for our tents and the camp kitchen and the amenities block as well as the cabins are always clean and well presented. Dave and Tracy are always friendly and helpful and very accommodating if bookings have to be changed at short notice. Our stays are always enjoyable.

We have stayed with this tourist park before and found it very welcoming. New owners took over before we arrived but found the new owners very friendly and approachable. Cabins were very clean and comfortable main bedroom was separate to rest of the cabin. Found the bathroom a little bit small to move around in. The camp kitchen was very clean and was a pleasure to cook our meal there. They were doing up the laundry when we were there which made it hard to manage your washing. Thought the cost of the washing machine and the dryer usage a bit expensive at $5 per load and the dryer never dried your clothes in one cycle. but over all very pleasant stay.

We were a group of small Citroen 2CV cars travelling from the southern states to Cape York and we had a 2 day rest stop in Cunnamulla. We weren’t expecting to find one of the best parks on our journey. The owner, Natasha Tovey went out of her way to make us all welcome and find accommodation in a full park for those who hadn’t pre-booked. The most obliging owners and managers you find anywhere.

Friendly managers, nice shady spots and is very quiet. Amenity blocks are clean and close by. There is a campers kitchen for those who need it with microwave, fridge, sink etc. There is also a laundry, and barbecues, although we didn’t use it. Good for a short stopover.

The cabin was a little older but very well equiped with all things you need for cooking. Extras like shampoo provided. Extremely clean with a lovely comfy bed. Friendly service from different staff. Had live entertainment. Can walk to town for meals, etc. Would certainly recommend these cabins.

We were a group of two couples staying in two cabins in May. Both cabins were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Each had one appliance that needed repair/replacement but nothing significant. The new managers were doing their utmost to get everything in order. I left my hat there and the mangers went to quite some bother to have it returned to me, even paying postage out of their own funds and trusting me to reimburse them. Soon after our stay there was an opportunity to recommend the park to another couple, who also stayed in cabins with their friends. They reported that they also thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

The park is very well presented and the staff are absolutely fantastic. Amenities are very clean and well maintained. Booking in was easy and the sites are very generous. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. We are staying currently and we feel very happy to be here. We are having a bush poet about to perform which is free of charge.

Clean amenities which are newish. Only one washing machine working which led to long delays. Good sized sites, mostly dirt and hard to drive pegs. Managers seemed on edge in all our conversations but did their jobs well. A little over priced.
