Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed one night in a 2 bedroom cabin. It was compact, well equipped and well furnished. It was clean and well maintained. There was a comfortable sofa and an outdoor dining area on the verandah. Aircons and shower worked well. The double bed sagged a little in the middle. The manager was friendly and helpful. One of the better cabin accommodations we have used in our current roadtrip.

Spent 4 nights here in a cabin. Fully self contained, very clean and comfortable. Very short drive to town. Great amenities - laundry, huge camp kitchen with outdoor tv and a great pool. Heaps of van sites. Great old fashioned service from the manager Tracey. Would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed a few nights here in a 2 bedroom cabin (2 adults, 2 young kids). We all had a great time - the pool area is fantastic and a big highlight for the kids. Cabin was neat and tidy, and the park generally is well maintained. Manager/staff super friendly and helpful with sight seeing tips. The park was a great base for our few days of exploring the region. Would have no hesitation coming back to stay here.

We had a 2 bedroom cabin. Although a little dated is was extremely clean and well maintained. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Small things like having local Daintree Tea was noted and appreciated. Cabins are up against the caravans. It’s a tight park for caravans. Great laundry facilities. Nice staff.

A very clean and tidy caravan park. Lovely staff. The amenities are single rooms with toilet and showers, seat and sink - perfect for families with little ones. Laundry with washers and dryers. There are courtesy buses that run you into town for meals so you can set up and leave the car at home. Recommend.

Accomodation was a cabin. We found the cabin clean and comfortable. The only problem was the stove took a long time to heat and when using both hot plates could not work them separately. Price was reasonable and the park owner was able to give guidance on what attractions were best to see.

We were originally staying here for four nights because we had a flight to Cape York organised but there were fuel problems and our trip was pushed back and we heard about this on our way so we booked in for seven nights and now we are quite happy we did. The service on booking was excellent and friendly, we were led around to our site and assisted with the backing in, our site is large and secluded and backs onto the creek. There is a problem with sandflies here so we have made sure we have all the protection we need. The park is close to town and has a real tropical feel to it, the outlook from our van is very pretty and the amenities are well maintained. Definitely recommended.

We had 6 couples try this caravan park out and were not disappointed in any shape or form, absolutely fantastic. Powered tent sites were huge with nice grass growth, the staff were fantastic and the amenities were second to none, they were so clean and well maintained. The swimming pool area was amazing, we will definitely be back. Tnx for a enjoyable stay from all the group. Cheers Ross 😁

We have stayed here in a powered site many times before, but not for about four years. Cooktown is a very pleasant interesting town and Cooktown Holiday Park is a well run, clean and tidy park with exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. We would not stay anywhere else when visiting this town.
