Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On the basis of a recommendation from a local, we had dinner at the Oasis Hotel. We easily walked from our camping site in about ten minutes. Appearances are deceiving - the bar and dining room are tucked around the back of the building. Inside, the pub décor is a bit dated, but service was adequate. Our meals arrived promptly, and the steak was cooked as requested. Serving portions were generous, and we walked back to our camp site with full, contented tummies.

6 of us ate at the Oasis Hotel Motel, Cloncurry on Sunday 23 May. All our meals were fantastic. The staff were friendly and efficient and my steak meal was the best I've ever had. Generous servings for all meals. Would highly recommend. Sorry to be only here for one night.

We had a great meal here. Huge servings! Very reasonably priced. They have a specials board and the usual pub fare. They are open 7 days and have quick service and friendly staff. We Did not stay at the hotel so we can’t say what the accommodation is like.

We planned our pub stays in the QLD outback well in advance of our road trip. On arrival at Oasis Hotel Motel we presented ourselves for check in via the back door which was clearly signposted ‘paying motel guests only’ to use this entry... we proceeded to the bar to check in only to be verbally attacked by a woman in charge for entering via that door. No apology on realisation we were guests ... just a rant about her patron woes. Fortunately we were treated well by other staff and food was good.

Country charm has left the building!
The owners are rude..the rooms cheap and nasty.
I was met with a hefty rude and aggressive woman to check in.
No country manners here..
Do yourself a favour..stay somewhere else!

I arrived at about 7.30pm on a monday night. The hotel was quiet. I had no trouble booking a room for the night. The room was adequate and understandably quite hot when i entered. The airconditoner soon cooled the room well. The room had basic amenities. The bed was relatively comfortable.

Quite surprising, in a town that demands $140-$165 per room, this tidy little motel is super value at $88. Bright and clean room, comfy queen bed and single if you want it....so close to centre of town, Woolworths about 200m, other Hotels close by however the Oasis Hotel has very good meals.......and reasonably priced. Easy for this Motel to improve its rating.........would suggest new shower curtains for example......are OK but an easy and cheap improvement. Toaster in the room would help too......we should have asked for one.
We have been on the road for some weeks paying no more than $80-$110 per night and find the room rates in this town exceptionally high........congratulations to the Oasis for its outstanding value.

We rocked up about 4 PM and were shown room number three. It seemed fine. Once we'd booked in and paid the hundred dollar fee for two people we found several anomalies. We were told, when we questioned why there was no remote for the television we were asked, "what do you expect for a hundred bucks a night!"
Well, I'll tell what I expect:
I expect a lightbulb to be replaced if needed, I expect a remote to be available for the television if needed. I do not expect the lavatory to leak constantly due to a problem on the ball valve. I do not expect ants and bugs to be in the shower and lavatory area. I do expect a spoon with which to make some tea in the morning, I do expect the kettle to boil without having to put one's hands on the lid, and I do expect the loo roll holder to be securely fastened to the wall as well as nets fitted to the one and only window in the room which had to remain closed with the curtains. And I do expect the smoke alarm to function correctly and be in place on the wall.
Of course I realise this is a budget hotel but a little more attention to details would prove advantageous as well as profitable.
The shower was fantastic, the food, for $12 was fabulous so can only repeat my previous statement "pay attention to the smaller points".

Stayed at this place on a recent trip to the NT. First of all, was so pleased after 15 hours on the road, that a room was available for my family and I. Room was bang for buck!! Would stay here again.

"All rooms are great, you are not on the main Rd so no road noise and as it only has 12 rooms the entire place is peaceful."
