Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Facilities at the park were fine. Unpowered sites are right on the Flinders Highway…relentless traffic started up at 4:30 am, including garbage truck. The pub across the road had a band that didn’t stop until 11:00, no possible hope of sleeping anytime before that..This park would be great if it was not on the highway and further out of town. Very disappointing.

Due to American issues, our one night stop turned into a week. I felt really at home here. The park was clean, amenities were excellent. The management were very thoughtful and helped us out with extra bookings. The town itself is so welcoming and the people friendly. Cloncurry also has the cheapest Vinnies in Australia. Could easily live here if it wasn't so hot in summer.

Room Tip: Just go there. The Cafe, Urban Leaf is a must. Dog friendly too.

We initially booked for two nights and then extended our stay to four nights. We have stayed here a few times in the past but stopped coming here about four years ago when there were very unfriendly and unhelpful people running the place. We heard that there was new ownership and thought that we would try again because we liked the location etc. We are happy to say that the current owners/managers/staff are all very helpful and accommodating. It is an average sized caravan park and very well looked after with clean facilities

We are staying here tonight and I have time to write the review so here goes. A clean, pleasant park with shady trees 🌴🌴🌴🌴 Amenities are clean and the managers/owners are very helpful and cheery. It's in the main road but so far so good. No excessive noise. Our slide on camper required a change of site to accommodate our height and this was done good naturedly.

We stayed at this caravan park two years ago and had such a good experience we chose to stay again. We were upgraded from a deluxe cabin to a deluxe villa which was nice. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly with a mixture of rail workers and travellers.

Managers were very nice and extremely helpful. $47 for 3 for a powered camp site is pricey for that part oof the world. Park was quiet with only a few customers. Camp kitchen was indoors so no issues with bugs and insects. Kitchen was clean and well looked after. Definitely would go there again even with that price.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, cabin was dated but clean and functional. We had a wander around and the park looks clean and set our nicely, would come back and stay again. There were a few small maintenance issues that could be looked at but sometimes can get over looked with the shortage of staff currently

We stayed 2 nights but wish it was longer. Beautiful clean park and amenities on a budget. The team were very friendly and only too happy to help with our late booking. A tour of the park on the golf cart to choose our site was a highlight. 😊 Large drive through, GRASS sites, power, water, showers, toilets, laundry and a pool for approx $50 for family of 5!! We could not be more thankful for all of these on the 40°c days we spent in Cloncurry, a true 'oasis' in the outback.

Camp kitchen was very clean and tidy. The only problem was that right on 8.30pm you were told to leave. I was there watching a rugby international with a mate and we were told to leave no exception. If you arrive late and want to cook dinner or want to watch something with the kids that ends after 8.30pm this is not the place to stay.

No bookings - First in best dressed and it works well. Escorted to your site, friendly, helpful staff, spotless amenities and quiet eventhough on the highway. Easy walk to town with excellent Foodworks and IGA for supplies. Cold draughty at the Central Hotel, what else do you need. Very pleasant stop and definitely recommend.
