Wow what a great welcome. Nothing was too much of an issue and sitting on the deck having a glass of red wine provided a great wind down to the end of a long 10 hour drive to arrive in charters towers from Rockhampton.

We were warmly welcomed by Patricia with a warm smile and lovely glass of red and a great chat. Wow, the reception area is feast for the eyes, an eclectic collection of items from times gone by.... The room was comfortable, we had the room with a spa bath which was great and was on the ground floor. Our rest...

After a long day driving to reach Charters Towers, it was wonderful to be greeted by the owner, Patricia, and offered a glass of wine moments after I'd walked through the door. That summarised the friendly hospitality of the hotel and its owner, who also gave me plenty of information on where to eat and what to see the following...

What an amazing Hotel this is, just loved staying there. The rooms were all beautiful, enjoyed sitting upstairs and downstairs on the balcony. Every room had a personal touch, even with old wares. Patricia the owner is a lovely and very helpful lady. Don't miss staying here, you will be pleasantly surprised. Excellent !

As a career counsellor with an hospitality educator, I have the privilege of sampling some of Australia's great accommodation when travelling through Queensland speaking with young school leavers about careers in this industry. I have stayed in Charters Towers once before at a large motel which was singularly ordinary with poor service and a very ordinary attitude. This year I...

Recently spent unfortunately, only one night here. What a great place to stay. It is like being welcomed by a family member. The rooms are lovely . The hotel is a reburbish of an old pub which only caters for accommodation. Patricia is the consummate host arranging places to see and she endures your stay is everything you had hoped...

From the moment we walked through the door, Patricia our host made us feel so welcome. She checked us in, made sure we knew where everything was. The room was clean, cool and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Opening onto the verandah it was an excellent spot to sit and have a cuppa/drink. The location was perfect, close...

We stayed one night, having found out about the place after doing a ghost tour and we certainly did not regret our choice to stay here. The beautiful king size four poster bed was a treat and the fact that there was a spa in our room was an added bonus. The hotel has been beautifully restored and each room...
