Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park has a relaxed and welcoming feel to it. The van sites are large and separated by native shrubs giving the feeling of privacy. Immaculate grounds and facilities. Huge area out the back with lovely bush tracks for walking with the dog. The huge campfire and damper every night was a great way to meet other campers. It’s byo but they also have a small bar in the camp kitchen.

Covid aware, prestige ensuite type amenities, very large sites, super helpful and friendly staff, gorgeous huge fire pit with damper supplied, and best country music live entertainment all in the one stay price, no extras. Star-gazing available from Park; Camp Kitchen immaculately clean and everything a camper needs is there; Huge bush walking area for the fitness minded, or for dog walking. We extended our stay to further enjoy all this hospitality and friends we made.

The cleanest toilets we have encountered on outback trip with large camping sites. The staff are fantastic, couldn't help enough. Can wander around old wool shed by yourself. Go on the walk with Craig if it's on during your stay. This was a highlight of my trip, he is very knowledgeable on so many areas of farming and environment, amazing guy. Altogether a great place to stay.

Well done to the staff for making us all feel welcome. Check-in was not a problem and we stayed on a powered site. The park is in good condition. The toilets and laundry facilities were good and clean. There is a bar operating at night and we sat around the fire chatting and meeting other travellers under the stars.

One recommendation, we paid for a star-gazing experience ($45 p/p), organised through the caravan park, and it was an enjoyable. I understand it does not run every night, but if you are stopping in at the park, you may want to check it out. The gentleman took us through the constellation and stars in an informative and entertaining way.

What a wonderful place! We were greeted cheerfully and made to feel welcome. Each night a socially distanced campfire is held where you can share stories with your camping comrades.
The amenities are exceptionally clean - thank you Shirley for your hard work here. This park is located out of Charleville, and away from traffic noise. There's old vehicles and a shearing shed on the property which is fun to explore.
In addition, you can book for a star gazing experience which is entertaining and informative. Thank you Greg and Sharon.
This is where we'll stay next time in Charleville.

Stayed for 2 nights and wished it had been a lot longer. The park is spotless and the sites are large and secluded. Shirley and Craig treat you like long time friends and never stop working around the park. Be sure to attend the Happy Hour and enjoy Craig's hospitality and the damper. Also a must in this park is the "Star Gazing" what a wonderful night topped off with hot chocolate and biscuits.

This park was one of a kind. We will definitely make a point of going past any staying there anytime we venture that way. We came for one night for a break in out trip and ended up extending our stay. The sites are very roomy, most you don't even have to unhook. The amenities are exceptionally clean. The whole park is exceptionally clean. The owners/managers are friendly and fun. Their knowledge of the bush and the stars was again, exceptional. The camp fire and damper each night along with happy hour was fantastic. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

From the time we got here to the time we left we were made welcome. The facility's were clean and comfortable. The extras without any added cost were very enjoyable. Entertainment, camp-fire and damper. We also had a star gazing evening at the caravan park at a minimal cost which was informative and brilliant followed a cup of hot choclate. Even though it's a short distance outside Charleville it is well worth staying here.

Next time in Charleville we’ll stay at the Evening Star Tourist Park. All sites are on crushed blue metal, are large and very accessible to big rigs. There’s a good camp kitchen and huge open fire.

We visited for the Stargazing tour and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent outdoor presentation and telescope viewing. Be warned, take plenty of warm clothing, Spring is very chilly at night!

Craig, Shirley and the team at Evening Star made us feel welcome and at home from the very moment we arrived. The sites are spacious and private, amenities clean and homely. Lots of open space to run around, ride bikes, walk and generally explore. Property is well presented with pride and extra effort is made to create a warm and friendly environment - in particular the evening communal fire complete with home made damper and banter. Originally only planned on staying one night but extended purely because of the amazing hospitality. Kid and pet friendly, close enough to town for convenience but far enough away to relax. Didn’t get the opportunity to do the onsite star gazing due to weather but will be back for sure. Thumbs up team, hooroo! :)
