We stayed I a spa ensuite cabin 9. Basic self contained cabin , couch table and chairs and bed , did have a wardrobe but only top shelf rest was hanging space . Good air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Room quite dusty and floor gritty but this is the outback, I swept it every nite same thing lots of dust. Park very popular with caravans and had plenty if cabins. Cabin besides dust was not very clean, toilet needed a good cleaning with a toilet brush, it took me one quick brush to clean it so the cleaner mite need a lesson what a toilet brush is for ( and I don't mean the stains from the Artesian water I am aware of that I mean it was very unclean ) as for the shower previous lodgers yellow soap still obvious on the ledge , so it hasn't been cleaned properly. The windows of the cabin I'm sure could be cleaned more than they are, we have stayed in some dusty out back places and have never encountered windows we couldn't see out of .The owners were pleasant and helpful, surroundings nice bush setting around the park. They do have a campfire and BBQ for guest's but we didn't attend.
We did overall enjoy our stay in the park.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention it is just a shame you did not bring it to our attention during your 5 day stay with us so we could have either move you or had the cleaners reclean the room for you. The windows are clean but because when we had arrived and didn't know about the water and how it leaves white stains so we have been trying to find something to remove the minerals off the glass. We have now found some cleaner that is now starting to remove this so we are continually cleaning those window and they are starting to come good. Hope you have a great holiday and comeback again another time

We had a fully self-contained cabin in the caravan park that was clean and comfortable and suited us very well and the owners were most welcoming and helpful.
The park is conveniently located away from the main highway, but still within easy access to all Charleville activities.
We would certainly stay there again.

$110. Very old, peeling paint, dated decor, curtains falling off rings, 1970’s. Needs a lot of TLC . But, good bed, clean white sheets, all amenities and toiletries Artesian water so bit greasy only while washing.. not a problem. Monstrous possums (?) jumping on roof, running around and growling at night. But a good quiet nights sleep. Pam was very helpful.
Would definitely stay again next year.

Thank you for your review. Our maintenance program for our cabins is behind because of covid and our handyman hurting himself. Hopefully next low season we will be able to do all that was planned for this year.

Based on various reviews we booked a cabin for 2 adults and a 16 year old. We entered the cabin to find it quite dirty and for my friend and son the second room was very claustrophobic and hot. The air conditioner was also faulty and kept switching the temperature to 30 degrees. There was dog or human hair all over the bed linen in the separate room. We didn't check the main bed as we chose at that point not to stay. The lounge chair was also very dirty. We attempted to go to reception to let then know however no one was there and the bell was rung and we waited for 10 minutes.. On our trip we have stayed in comparable accommodation with a higher standard of cleanliness and more updated conditions eg working air conditioner, clean bedding and furniture. After leaving the caravan park, for only $20 extra a night we are now staying in a modern motel room with clean linen and free additional amenities such as free washing, drying and a swimming pool and a location much closer to the town centre.

Thank you for the email that you had already sent to us regarding your accommodation which have already responded to. In regards to your complaints with the cabin that you were given, myself and head cleaner checked the cabin and found no signs of any dog/human hair over the bed linen in the separate room. The separate room is of a good size for a second room in our budget cabin. In regards to the cleanliness of the lounge chair, the cover that is on the lounge is of the colour of dark beige, upon inspection we found it to be clean. To address the air conditioning unit, the air conditioner displays the ambient temperature of the room. eg: 3 degrees, then air conditioner is set at 24 degrees and can be adjusted either up or down depending what the guest at the time requires it to be. The temperature display will show the room ambient temperature until it reaches the temperature it is set at. This can take up to an hour to reach depending on the outside temperature which was quite hot on the day. The temperatures in the Outback Queensland at this time of the year are quite high. The is a number for the office on the outside window which can be used to call as we are a small park and there are a number of times when we are out of the office helping and assisting other cabin guests/caravanners or doing general cleaning.

My colleague and I recently travelled to Charleville as part of a community research project. Given it was the peak travelling season out west, we knew we needed to book early and managed to secure a van for the 3 nights we required. Shortly after making this booking - still several weeks ahead of our travel - my colleague opted to travel via a campervan for our time in Charleville so went ahead with a booking via our employer for a large site location. As soon as this had been booked, I rang Bailey Bar to take up my colleague's previous van booking. I subsequently received an email just prior to our travel to Charleville to welcome our stay.
So it was with some surprise when we arrived to find that only my colleague's site booking was registered for the 3 nights. Immediately blame was pointed at our employers for stuffing up the bookings but they could offer a van that night for me. We thanked them and I took up the offer only to find hot water and heating weren't working on a night that was zero degrees celsius. The next day we inquired early afternoon if there had been any cancellations to no avail, but I was offered a tent to pitch beside my colleague's site. I replied that we would see if there were any other accom options in town (given lockdown in SEQld had just been announced) and were able to find some accom for the following (third) night. We returned to notify BB owners of this before heading to our community project event, which was met with the retort of "you've got some cheek going ahead and make a booking elsewhere and then expect to still get some help from us for tonight". With this remark, we headed to our event where I was fortunate that a cancellation from a SEQ resident, meant I could take up an accom offer elsewhere in Charleville. We returned from our event at around 8pm at BB to be met by the BB male owner who said that I could have a cabin that had become available only for me to explain that I'd taken up another offer, given previous remarks and no communication whatsoever from BB of this cabin availability. Later that evening, I received a 'cancellation' email for the cabin. Upon return from the trip, I noted that my credit card had been charged $240 and so requested a receipt which claimed 3 nights accom @$80 per night.
In the ensuing email exchange, I asked them to recredit my credit card with $160 and reissue a 'room account' statement for that one Mon 29th night for $80. Bailey Bar defended their billing by stating that "[b]ecause it was an event we do not give partial refund as we had turned away numerous people for your accommodation. We are terribly sorry that you were not happy with the arrangements made for you as we tried many times and went to a lot of trouble to help you after the cancellation and rebooking by [your employer] and not once did you give us any notice of your change of plans."
Sad.

My family and I, and our three campervans, travelled out to Western Queensland for the first week of the school holidays. Charleville was our 4th destination and we selected Bailey Bar Caravan Park because of the great location and the facilities. We weren't disappointed. Located within a quiet residential area and opposite a race track it was a fantastic place to spend two nights. It has great facilities, clean and spacious bathrooms and clean kitchen and cleaning up facilities. I would be more than happy to stay there again the next time we head west for an Outback Adventure!

After travelling the outback for 2 weeks in the camper trailer. We were in great need for some luxury. We booked the Bailey Bar cabin for 2 nights. Pam greeted us and settled us in and made us feel very welcome. We booked the the Camp Oven dinner, which was very satisfying and good value. We were pleasantly surprised when Pam and family greeted us all warmly at dinner and wished fellow travelers that were leaving the next day safe travels. It is very much outback hospitality at its best.
The cabin was clean and comfortable which is what we needed to recharge our batteries and we stayed an additional night for the pork spit roast. We would definitely re book and recommend to others. Pam and family are wonderful hosts.

We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights. On a Sunday night they have a camp oven dinner for a cost,The food was great and plentiful and sitting around the camp fire is a great way to meet other travellers. The BBQ was not working. In the cabin the bed was comfortable and it was clean. However you had to open cabinets carefully as the hinges needed replacing. It is a nice quiet location.

Don't bother staying at this caravan park, our cabin was so dirty the floors were very dirty, shower in cabin was really dirty, our dish cloth was a used one dried and put back in the cupboard, cups and dishes weren't cleaned. Second room had double bed with single on top, no room for bags . Really needs to be updated everything was really old. Very dusty. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! People left dogs in van while they went out for dinner, constantly barked for 3hours NOT HAPPY

Our cabins are stripped and cleaned thoroughly after every guest. These cabins are compact if you had a problem you could have come and seen us and we could have upgraded you to our Superior Units which have luggage racks and these are a lot newer than our little cabins which will hopefully be able to upgrade some of them after the season finishes. We really do not have control of other guest animals but we could have asked them to try and keep their pet quiet if we had known about it. With the lack of rain we are continually trying to keep the dust down by watering when possible.

I have stayed here many times, every one of my stays here was perfect. With a wide variety of places to go, Bailey Bar Caravan Park was by far the best choice we have ever made. The amenities are beautiful and well maintained. The cabin was spotless and very well cleaned. Beautiful glass for my dogs to play on. While at the Caravan Park, I enjoyed the spectacular Camp Oven Dinner, Spit Roast and BBQ dinner, all in which we’re fantastic. Compliments to the chef in which clearly put in loads of effort into making this the best outback experience. The staff, Pam, Darryn, Alan and the wonderful cleaners are very friendly and very helpful as they helped us to plan our outback adventure. Darryn was even kind enough to take us all to the Cosmos Centre for just $15 which is terrific considering there is no taco in town. He also took us ti town for just $10 per car load which was very helpful considering we had a large green of people in our cabin. My family and I would definitely be back. I recommend this park to anyone who wants premium quality cabins and great service. 😀👍🏻

Hi, we stayed in a cabin that had two bedrooms (one with QS bed; the other with QS bed and bunks, and bathroom off second room) and full-sized lounge and kitchen. We had 8 people so our charge would be more than what you would pay for 2 couples
