There wasn't a great deal of options for accommodation so we went on TA reviews and thought we'd try this place. Because they run tours of the hotel at a price, we weren't allowed to view a room before booking it. This is something we always try and do, having been caught out a few times. I was expecting something pretty speccy after all the rave reviews but was so disappointed. It may have been an ensuite room but it was tiny, with no features at all. No bedside tables, just those awful metal stools instead. No kettle, only paper cups. Apparently you had to find the room with the kettle, milk etc. We lugged all our stuff back downstairs, and said it just wasn't acceptable for the price. So we were offered an outside motel room for the same price, which was 100% on the first room. Much more spacious, with a decent size TV, coffee making and AC. We were looking forward to dining at Moo restaurant, but guess what! It was closed because of the public holiday, so it was pizza at the bar.

Great history to the hotel and a wonderful feel to the place. Rooms clean and comfortable. Excellent bar with good food. Great location with all amenities close by. Would definitely stay again and recommend others travelling with family to stay there too.

The Hotel has so much wonderful history and is such a special place to stay. My Mum and Dad lived in Charleville in the early sixties and had the privilege to meet Poppa Corone. Mum and I recently enjoyed a stay in the Hotel. Mum in the Heritage Room. The new owners are incredibly kind and go out of their way to help. They have definitely kept up the good reputation of good service at Hotel Corones.

This historic hotel in the heart of Charleville is a fantastic one to stay. The friendly people managing the hotel are really awesome and great in their hospitality. Grabbing a drink and sitting on first floor verandah was the most enjoyable one. So, obviously I highly recommend this hotel to stay.

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Corones in August 2021, having stayed previously in 2019. Once again, we found Corones an excellent place to stay. The managers and staff are very nice, the evening meals are great, and the spaciousness and comfort of the hotel provide a good feeling. We enjoyed quiet sleeps in good beds. It is conveniently located in the middle of Charleville, only a short walk to shops. It is wonderful to see the historical photos displayed in the hotel.
