Detailed Reviews
Nice sized motel on the main highway, with the majority of the rooms set back ensuring no highway noise.
Reception staff were lovely on arrival, and help with tourist enquiries later on.
Please note though there is no longer an y laundry facilities available, with the only washing facilities at a public facility in town.
Hand basin just outside bathrooms at front door, different but handy to fill the jug etc.
Would stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your kind comments. We are in the process of reinstalling the laundry facilities for our guests convenience. We love our 'Oasis in the Outback' and our staff work hard to make everyone's stay a memorable one. I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay.

We arrived late in the afternoon and were greeted by friendly staff at reception.
Our room was in the front section on the corner.
A quiet space with a double and a single bed.
The room's TV had a range of commercial stations and the a/c worked with little instruction required although on the first night I opened one of the windows to allow fresh air flow. (windows are screened.)
I heard the Hotel Restaurant offers a good range of meals including homemade pizzas which unfortunately we didn't have time to try because we had tour and other arrangements booked.
Location is handy, just outside of town but within walking distance of Graham Andrews Parklands - a lovely place to take a morning stroll and stretch the legs.
The bathroom is on the smaller side, but the shower is a good size and the water pressure is excellent! The kitchenette area has enough space to make a hasty dinner (reheat in the room's microwave) as we were heading off to the Big Sky Observatory for the 7.30 pm night sky experience. Two chairs and a table outside the room meant we could eat comfortably outside.
Our corner room was quiet - the brick walls are great insulation for sound.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, the Outback Restaurant offers amazing meals and thanks to Charleville being located on the Artesian Basin, the water pressure is superb to wash away a day of travels. Be sure to call in again!

Friendly staff at this motel which is so good have when travelling all day.
The motel is spaced out in different buildings and we were at the back. I thought this was good set up, as it gave more room.
The room was large with free to air TV and some Foxtel channels.
The set up of the room has the sink near the front door but that was no problem for us at all. There were other guests in other rooms, but we didn’t hear them while in the room so seems to have good soundproofing.
We would certainly stay at the Mulga again.
There is a restaurant at the motel.

We spent 2 nights here in the "disabled access" room (room 19) and found the room clean, spacious, quiet and in a great location to access attractions. The bed was comfortable and wheelchair height (approximately 55cm). The bathroom is not wheelchair accessible but may suit those with a disability who are ambulatory. There is a rail in the floor which prevents a slide transfer from a wheelchair onto the toilet. The sink was a wheel-under sink. The mirror and shelf were too high to access from a wheelchair. There is an on-site restaurant which was booked out for the two nights we were there however, they were able to deliver a pizza to our room on both nights.

Stayed one night and found rom comfortable, air-conditioning worked well and no external noise. Restaurant was closed but excellent dinner brought to the room together a tray breakfast to allow an early start the next day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Agree that the property is just starting to get a little tired but still good value for money.
However, as mentioned by other reviewers, the Wi-Fi was poor and I was unable to watch ABC or SBS (the very channels I wanted to watch) because of reception issues. I watched the ABC news on my phone. I know it is difficult to get technical assistance in many country areas but if a property wants the corporate and "capital city" market to stay there then efficient Wi-Fi and TV reception is expected these days.

The motel is clean and the rooms are fine but pretty basic , not cheap at $300 and a long way out of town
Very bad smell of sewerage in the bathroom coming up the shower drain . The manager said it was due to the use of artesian water .. I think it reflects a sewerage system that needs an significant upgrade !

Lovely manager and staff. I travel here regularly and feel like one of the family. Staff are super friendly and manager and staff go out of their way to give that little bit extra to keep you coming back.
Lovely outdoor area to relax/have dinner/ work if you have to!!
Restaurant food is good value, tastes great and more than ample portions.
Have stayed in several motels and this is my favourite by far.

We were on a tour and stayed there two nights to see the sights, very clean, all you need for a stay. Wifi was not very good had to go to the main reception area to get this on my ipad. As they use artesian water there is a sulphar smell to the water, but not to bad in our room, others seemed to have more and some sediment, Beds comfortable and all the usual additions available for a nice stay

Had a quick overnight in Charleville and decided to stay at the Mulga Country Motor Inn. It is close to the park, the Cosmos Centre, the WWII museum and the airport.
I felt very welcome and the host went out of their way to deliver pizza to my door or make me breakfast in the morning on a public holiday. Really appreciated that!
The whole experience was just easy, and as a traveller that's all you need.

For our one night stay the room was comfortable, roomy, quiet and well located close to sights such as the Cosmos Centre and Graham Andrews Parklands. Friendly welcome and status of hotel explained (Restaurant closed when we were there). Air conditioning effective. Nice garden setting. Not far from the highway but our rear room wasn't worried by noise, but I would expect those close to teh road would be noisy.
Room and hotel felt old but dressed up. Some strange features such as the hand basin is outside the bathroom near the door :-) Pool didn't seem to be heated. Even in the hot condition it was very cold. There is no parking near reception so tricky checking in.
