Stayed in the villa for a couple of nights and really enjoyed my stay. The management and staff are really friendly and helpful. Good to see all the facilities are all clean and the grounds too. Thank you kookaburra for a wonderful experience.

We stayed in a motel unit for one night and that was enough. We did not eat or have food there, but by the time we went to bed we noticed heaps of ants running all over the bedside unit - yuk! I know this is part of life in the tropics and you don't leave anything to entice them,...

Ants are a part of the tropics and we have now had to use some heavy duty ant killer. We don't use bleach to kill ants but sorry, we may not have rinsed if off as well as we should have after cleaning the bathroom. We provide clean, 3 ½ star, value for money accommodation. If you are looking for...

This a small C/Park situated in Cardwell between the Bruce Highway and Railway Line. You would think it would be noisy but in truth it isn't. There is only about 4 t rains a day with one late at night and you hardly notice it. The Park offers cabins and both powered and unpowered sites at a reasonable price and...

I visited here with my boyfriend intending to stay a couple of nights as a stop over on our holidays and ended up staying a few nights longer. After hearing about the great fishing spots in Cardwell, we decided to give it a go. Kookaburra seemed like a good place for us to stay and it completely exceeded our expectations....

Arriving to see some one being dragged under a car on the site is something you never really forget.... (it made state/cairns news)after the "everso helpful" rod had "booked" us in i was told just hitch up anywhere its not busy. I started to move our camper and came across a domestic that ended up with a poor woman being...

An accident is just that – an accident; which we had no control over. The person injured has made a full recovery. 1. We like to offer our Guests a choice of sites so they can be as comfortable as possible during their stay. If anyone needs help to park vehicles, just ask us as most people prefer to do...

I stayed at the Kookaburra for 4 1/2 months working at the nearby Banana farm and loved every minute. Cardwell is one of the most beautiful towns on the East coast perfect for fishing or a bit of peace and quiet with amazing views of the surrounding countryside and endless sandy beach. There also several nearby creeks that are definitely...

This gem is by far my favourite place in Australia. I stayed and worked in Cardwell for 4 1/2 months and I adored it. It's in a beautiful location, affordable, clean, fun and so homely. Rod and Leonie (the owners) are possibly the nicest folks in Australia, they are simply amazing and will help you with anything. The units on...

I thoroughly enjoyed my accommodation. Clean and tidy. Service was great. Friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Great publicity for things to do and places to go. There were plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.

Not a bad spot to stay for a day or two iga is a very short walk away to the north to the south is about a 10 minute walk to town with hardware, dress shops, fish and chip shops and a pub with bottleo even though the parks on a main road it's not that noisy

Service was good while unobtrusive . The room was clean, good bed linen, nice shower. More spacious than expected. Location of the park is great although the studio got a bit noisy being near the office. Every van had to pass it.
