My husband and I chose Aquila Retreat to accommodate family and friends and host our intimate July 2021 wedding. We are so delighted we did! Every aspect of our four night stay was thoughtfully curated, including incredible world class 'boho luxe' interior design and furnishings, immaculate and large bedrooms, huge kitchen areas and multiple bathrooms. The effervescent and knowledgable Mel was available for all our needs and professionally event managed our wedding day, quickly handling all and any concerns. With Aquila, the owners Heidi and Kim have created a tranquil oasis in beautiful Buderim and we cannot wait to return. Aquila Retreat is quite simply outstanding.

We just facilitated a 4 day retreat with 28 people at this incredible resort. The facilities were outstanding allowing us to provide our participants the ultimate deep transformative experience in a luxurious, relaxed safe atmosphere. There was plenty of space for those who needed moments of quiet rest, reflection and intergration between activites. The kitchen facilities were beautiful and spacious allowing our caterer to come in and work her magic, providing beautiful nutritional food for our guests and an easy clean up with the appliances provided. The spacious bedrooms were perfect and big enough for 4 per room to have their own personal space and the beds were the most comfortable beds ever. Highly recommend Aquila Retreat Resort everything we could have possibly think of is provided here. Excited to come back in September and allow our next group to explore and experience this beautiful paradise! Thank you Aquila for the beautiful attention to detail you have put into each and every room and space on this property, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

This place is well suited for large numbers allowing for privacy and coming together in the communal areas. Each room has its own en-suite, allowing everyone to get ready at the same time in the morning without unnecessary delays or schedules. The communal areas, kitchens and facilities cater for everyone, you never feel crowded but included. The communal areas and the place itself is conducive of socialising, having time by yourself and letting the nature, the rain forest views and the landscape to pace you down and re-discover the taste for an happy life.

Aquila Retreat held our retreat guests with such care and luxury. This space really surpasses any expectation from the moment we stepped through the front door. The rooms are generous and each have their own individual charm. The common spaces are plentiful and provide a sanctuary to gather together or be by yourself. There is detail everywhere to gaze upon and tell a story. The pool and spa are glorious. Although it rained for most of our stay, this did not deter us from enjoying the nearby walking trials and exploring the other spaces. I would highly recommend to anyone. We would love to host another retreat here or come back with friends/family. A magical and beautiful experience. Thank you xx

I recently stayed here for a retreat and there was not a thing I could fault.

The rooms were amazing and plenty of room for a few people to have their own space in each room.

The pool and spa were lovely. Every amenity you could think of is provided.

The grounds are just stunning I really enjoyed the dam down the bottom. You could totally feel as if you were miles away from the outside world.

I came home and suggested this place to my daughter for her wedding I liked it that much!

Edited to add : this location has changed ownership and the last time in 2022 I attended the property was run down and the owners were not helpful at all. Was not what it used to be!

Heidi & Kim have managed to make the ultimate group retreat. The décor and styling is just perfect for the space, combining textures, materials and patterns to make a warm and inviting space that despite its size, never feels cavernous or empty, and nor does it feel cramped. You can tell that thought has gone into every single item in the home. The individual ensuites and spacious rooms, and plenty of space to explore the home and grounds means you can get plenty personal space during a group adventure, while also being able to host large inclusive soirees that feel like intimate occasions.

I am particularly impressed by the generous (multiple) kitchens and how incredibly well equipped the pantry and kitchen are. Every appliance you could need, all the essential pantry items and more than enough cooking and serving utensils. Many places fail in this regard making catering for a large group unpleasant, but I would spend the rest of my days in Aquila's kitchen if I could!

We will definitely be back in 2021 to celebrate mine and my husband's 30th birthdays with all our family and friends! Thanks so much Heidi and Kim!

The perfect venue for three generations of extended family to get together for the festive season to see off 2020. The rooms were beautiful with the most comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms. Lots of well designed outdoor recreation areas and walking tracks around the extensive gardens, creek and ponds. Eco friendly and locally made toiletries and household products were a nice addition to the quality and ambience of the retreat. Magnificent panoramic views of the Sunshine Coast and just minutes from shopping centres and the beaches, it is ideally located for a function or event. The pool, spa, firepit, table tennis, snooker, pool tables, games, puzzles, toys, media equipment, wifi, walks and cricket kept every age group happy for the whole 10 days. The kitchen and laundry facilities are excellent . In a year of such upheaval and uncertainty, it was a wonderful experience to send off 2020 and welcome 2021 with my closest family in an enchanted forest in God's own country of Queensland where I have been blessed to find myself.

We recently cooked for a 4 day singing retreat at Aquila. It's a stunning, unique and ultra comfortable venue with meticulous attention to detail and charming, friendly helpful staff.

With plenty of privacy and also communal spaces, pool, yoga, decks, and stunning views the guests were transported to tranquillity right in the heart of the Sunshine Coast.

We experienced all weather over the 4 days from 34 degree heat and sunshine to pouring rain and wind, but in all situations the Aquila experience was comfortable and well accommodated.

The kitchen and dining facilities were fantastic, enabling us to prepare and serve delicious healthy meals from breakfast to dessert completely on site without disturbing the retreat activities.

Everyone had such a special few days they didn't want to leave.

Thanks from the Claude's Food team @claudesfood

Aquila Retreat is an incredibly luxurious accomodation option. It’s not only accomodation but an ‘experience’ from the moment you walk in the door. The styling and then intention that has gone into each room is reflective of the attention you will receive from the hosts. They are attentive, warm and you feel like they are family! Any wish you have will be openly recieved, nothing is a problem for these amazing people. I can’t wait to return!
