Just amazing,'H M Endeavor suite 2' was spotlessly clean, refreshing aircon, fresh linen and a amazing view with an awesome sunset all within walking distance to dinner and across from the beach. The manager was great, he gave us this accommodation at the last minute and was helpful.First time there, won't be our last. Organising dates already to return. 🙏Thank you very much
Stayed at the apartment for 3 nights, was not booked by me, very disappointing with the price that was paid to find a very basic apartment, furniture put together from several places, nothing matching, poor range of items in the kitchen not even a decent sharp knife or chopping board, filthy smell from the kitchen that no matter how much I cleaned it would not go nor would the little bugs flying around the sink area the whole time. No refill of toilet paper available only what was on the holder, no refill of basics such as bathroom items, towels, cleaning products, for a 3 night stay I would have expected at least a fresh toilet roll under the sink. No spare towels and when I requested extra ones after using the supply after a swim in the pool the bare minimum was supplied hesitantly. The pool was the only lovely thing this accommodation has to offer in my opinion, would rather spend the money over the bridge that does not have the Bribie island label attached and would provide much better facilities I'm sure. …
We stayed in unit 15. I was clean inside, but the balcony hadn't been hosed down for years I suspect. While the block was obviously built in the 80s, there is no excuse for leaving the 80s furniture and decor inside. Here is the list: * Lounge old and uncomfortable * table & chairs old, 80s style and uncomfortable * Aircon remote did not work * TV remote was patched up with duct tape * No Foxtel * No radio or docking station * Wifi was free but kept dropping out and was SLOW...less than 1megabit/second * Balcony was filthy. Outdoor table hadn't even been wiped down. * Kitchen utensils, pots and pans were old and we had to screw all the handles back onto the pots and frypan as they were all loose * single beds were uncomfortable and the doonas were old and heavy * Dishwasher powder receptacle was broken The bathroom/toilet/laundry has been recently renovated and while it was clean, white and bright, they forgot/neglected to paint the door which was left a dirty custard colour. There was also nowhere to put your clothes etc except on the washing machine. Great location and great view but the inside of this unit needs some SERIOUS work. We will DEFINETELY not be staying again.…
Top dollar, filthy, smelly room, blinds missing, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, appliances putrid, food on couch (2nd pic is where I wiped food off couch with just a damp cloth, saw how dirty it really was). grubby furniture, floors unswept( pic1), hair hanging out of shower drain (pic 3). Complained, was promised a full clean and service of the room before second night, only turned the dishwasher on, room still stunk. Got 1 night refunded. Totally unacceptable.
What a fantastic place to stay. We had a great weekend as a group of friends in apartment 16 & 18, it definitely won’t be our last visit. The apartments have everything you could possibly need in them & they are spacious & well set out. Peter & the team are brilliant! Can not speak highly enough about the little touches they provided so that we could have a great weekend. They bought us some wine & fruit for when we arrived & even drove us to & from the concert we were attending at Sandstone Point Hotel. The apartment complex has a great feel to it with a lovely pool & beautiful view over the water & it’s also perfectly positioned within walking distance to a couple of cafes & the pub. Perfect weekend at The Gums Anchorage. Thanks Peter & the crew, we can’t wait to come back!
Stayed for 4 days, apartment was amazing - had everything we needed and really inviting we wanted to spend more time relaxing in apartment and on the balcony with the great views. Weather was 30deg but easy to keep cool inside with l the fans and aircon
The unit was big and clean with a nice view of the water. However staff was not very friendly and seemed we were interrupting his afternoon. There was no milk in room or hairdryer or tissues. Not sure if there was wifi as was not offered and no Foxtel.
Everything you would need for a self catered stay. Our unit had a fabulous view over the water. The bathroom is a bit dated. I would recommend replacing the shower heads. Only disappointment was the lack of wifi. It was non existent.
We stayed in a lovely unit overlooking the water, great view, very clean, great hosts. Modern kitchen, great balcony it’s only downside was the bathrooms need upgrading, they are all serviceable but need bringing up to date. Would stay there again.
We returned to the Gums Anchorage, for the medieval festival, after staying there last year. Booking and reception were great. Craig dealt with our party of 14 arriving late, with good humour. The kids loved the open spaces to run around. Our three bedroom apartment was spacious, fitted out with whatever we needed. Homely rather than luxurious, but great for entertaining the "crowd". Only drawback is the couch in our lounge probably is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I ever encountered, but as the units are individually furnished, I guess that's not a big draw back ( it also prevents too much sitting inside!) Stunning views!
