Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park is centrally located to explore Bowen, whether it's the waterfront or the CBD . I found Debbie and all staff to be friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The pool area and amenities were clean and tidy. Definitely recommend this park 👌

We stayed in 'the cottage' (not) for 5 nights. The standout for us was the rudeness and abruptness of Debbie at reception. As paying clients we were treated as annoyances. There were no batteries for remotes for the air con or TV. No hanging space for clothes. Mould in bathroom. Bedside lamp held together with sticky tape and fell apart when turned on...no replacement, no apology, told 'i don't want it, throw it in the bin.' No covered verandah - it was a 3 ft wide concrete pad with 3 chairs and a large table. Microwave situated on top of fridge and unreachable. Yes, 'the cottage' was spacious, but also cheap and grubby feeling.,,,a reflection of the business acumen of owners.

Booked a large site 2 weeks in advance for 5 nights double checked on the phone that a 10 meter van would fit Debbie the manager assured me it was fine arrived at 3 pm booked in the maitinace man showed me the site map it the park and our site in the middle when I questioned him the site only took a 8 metre van when to look and I could not fit I asked for another site nothing available Asked for a refund he did not know how to do a refund said it was not his job Called in the next day same man said the refund had been put throug no money the next day went back the next day Debie was quite rude said it was not her fault others had moved sites around and I will get the refund when the bank does it minus the eftpos charges concidering it was a debit card fees should not have been charged This park is not tourist friendly as someone that has owned a park for twenty two year I would not recommend them to anyone

We got a powered site for one night. More expensive than Airlie Beach. Swimming pool very dirty. Showers and toilets looked like hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. Definitely give this one a miss. So many other nice parks in Bowen.

Horrible place avoid like the plague. It’s basic tired and has lots of strange people. Unfriendly reception and greeting. Toilets and showers need updating. Don’t believe the blurb on the website it’s an awful place.

The park is bare and doesn't look appealing. There were a lot of strange people in the park. Look like vagrants. At 3:00 am someone's alarm went off and it continued until 5:30 am. The sanitary is ok. Not super clean. Luckily we arrived late and left early. Wouldn't return.

Well my partner and I stayed here in June 2022 for two weeks, and the park is disgusting no grass all dirt, amenities only get cleaned every second day Nothing over the weekend. Rubbish bins full in amenities and all over the floor from the fruit pickers which the owners complain about. If you go for a shower take a torch, the lights go out ( but been checked by an electrician says all good and working he needs to hand back his license) about 530 - 6 pm every night. I’ve complained six days straight and so have a lot of other people in the park. Owners don’t want to do anything about fixing the problem. So if your going to stay in Bowen anytime soon as a grey nomad DONT I’m not even going rate this park It’s filth This pic I’ve taken is with my flash on. No lights

A wonderfully pleasant Caravan Park with friendly owners or managers, to boot. We were held up due to the many road works along the way & contacted about check in. We were greeted with a pleasant & understanding manner, from the lady we dealt with. Being right on the beach, you have easy access to fresh, local seafood. A pleasant place to have your base, to explore the local area from. Don’t forget to visit the Lookout, which is nearby as well. A clean & tidy unit with access for parking. Hint: If you get the park under the Tamarind tree, you may get a few twigs on the car, in the Morning, as the birds love this tree.

Was given powered site , way to small for our van ,no room for our vehicle , I asked a nice lady in office for another site only a couple of smaller ones available would have had tow bar on road , a man came down to our site told the guy next to us to move his car over to fit ours in . our annex was almost out on the road , spoke to quite a few other travellers they were not impressed very dusty road not watered ,my husband went down to office asked if they had a water cart , told yes but didn’t have time to do it ,told him to water it himself with our own hose then told him go away and slammed door shut in his face , avoid staying there if you can :after travelling for five months staying in many parks this would have to be the worst , that god only here for two nights ,
