My wife and I stayed at this park for four nights as it was described as a good central location to explore the town and sights!

The relieving park managers were simply great, accomodating and helpful! The ammenities were clean and tidy! We also found it was best to shower in these than the van as the artesian water was not as hit. So, be aware the artesian water is hot and has that sulphuric smell. It is described as clean and drinkable, which it us if left for a while or filtered and cooled!

The park is small but tight. You have enough room on your site for car, awning and van . On our recessed slab site 11 we had to use levellers on one side! I saw other cabs against the western fence had to do the same. We had shade against the fence and welcomed it as it was in the mid to high thirties.

The park is a tad tired and in need if some TLC but you do have everything you could want for.

The ‘Dump Spot’ needs attention as the interior surrounds are not level and needs repair or replacement. I found somebody’s waste invthe top section and tried to clean it up with the hose but it was difficult to push water/waste easily down into the sewer!

The Park though was a better location than the Freedom Camp near the river, which was dusty, then muddy because of rain showers and cost $10 per night! The cost of The Blackall Caravan Park was $35 pn.

The Park was a 500 metre walk to the shops for groceries, meals and drinks!

We did enjoy our stay though and recommend The Wookscour tour and Ram Park Museum!

Good caravan park, helpful staff, dinner offered some nights of the week and entertainment. Camp kitchen amenities basic but adequate, has camp fire. But five stars for provision of freshly laundered towelling bath mats in each shower- much appreciated. Amenity blocks warm due to artesian water supply.

Very pleased we chose to stay here given the chance to explore a little more of the town as this park is a short drive to the town centre. We had an unpowered site close to the amenities. The amenities block, I believe had not long been renovated into en suite style as each "room" was self contained with shower, toilet, Vanity basin and several towelling bath mats. All were very clean. A short walk brought you to the aquatic centre and artesian pool. A comfortable place to stay to explore the towns history.

We recently stayed in one of the cabins at the Blackall caravan park. Our cabin was surrounded by bougainvillea trees - pink, red and yellow - just stunning! We stayed at the one near the laundry which was a great location to catch up on some washing. They have a happy hour in the camp kitchen area, the hosts set up a fire for us and we got the meet other travelers before our dinner was served at 6pm. We ordered Debbie's famous rissoles and the schnitzel, both were fantastic! the best dinner we have had so far on our trip west from Brisbane. The park is a short walk to the main street and also to the artisan pool, which is a must visit, hot water, so relaxing and only $2 to get in.

They have a variety of site sizes & drive thru sites for larger vans, which we have. The girl in the office was most helpful & accomodating the 1st night we were there till a larger drive thru became available. Plenty of room, excellent afternoon entertainment at the camp kitchen & home cooked meals delivered to either to the camp kitchen or your accomodation/van. The warm artesian water in the amenities block made a shower during the hot conditions very pleasant.

We paid 125.00 to stay in a very old and dingy superior cabin, stuck over in the corner next to the laundry and toilet block. There was no wifi available and Debbie, the woman on the desk, suggested we could use the local council connection which finished at 7pm. This was 6 pm. When I pressed her about this, noting they advertise wifi and there are instructions in the shack for connection, she gave me her personal logon details but then told me they would only work near reception, not in our cabin. I don’t mind rustic accommodation but I do hate being ripped off. Very disappointing in such a nice small regional town that needs business right now, extremely poor ambassador for Blackall. I could not recommend this place.

Units are in need of an urgent revamp, holes in the walls, dodgy electrical fittings with holes in the ceiling. Shower head was filthy and there was mould on the ceiling, not sure why the caravan park management can't fix some of these things up? would recommend travelling the extra hour to Barcaldine or Tambo where clean accommodation can be found at the Barcaldine Motor Inn or the Tambo Mill Motel & Caravan Park. Its a shame that management don't care about having clean rooms to provide their guests.

Lovely place to stay in Blackall. Welcoming, friendly and helpful ladies. Delicious home cooked meals combined with Happy Hour and live music (accompanied by frogs) made this a memorable evening. A great way to meet and chat to other travellers. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable. We visited the Woolscour and the thermal pool. Recommend both highly.

Working our way through Qld Outback; heading to Longreach. We decided to stay in Blackall for a night; wanted our space so booked the 3-Bed House.
This would have to be our all time worst rental. Website picks do not show the real house and facilities, or total lack thereof.
We can handle the artesan water and smell but bathroom and kitchen faciliites that have not been maintained is not acceptable. Wife would not go near the basin in the bathroom; kitchen sink leaked in the cupboard below. Beds were ok with clean linen.
We would never stay here again.

Cabin is definitely not worth $130 a night
Place was clean and presentable but the cabins need to be totally revamped.
Mould on ceiling in bathroom and I don’t think the bathroom window has been cleaned often.
Blind doesn’t even cover window properly.
Smoke detector on the shelf in the kitchen 🤷‍♀️
Judge for yourselves by the photos
