My heart practically sank when I pulled up outside this, to me, very old hotel, entered past a bar and a gaming room to check-in at reception near a very imposing set of steep stairs (my partner has mobility issues). But right from the outside I received nothing but friendly assistance and a VERY helpful hint to drive around the corner, up the side lane and - VOILA! - there was a ramp that allowed easy (a) walking to the room; and (b) unloading/loading the car. Our room was a great, and very pleasing, size. Ceilings were at least 4 metres high, there was a lot of space, the bathroom was ultra clean and modern, and despite overlooking the courtyard/beer garden below, the windows shut out nearly all the noise (if any). Best of all was a good size bar fridge and a superb Bistro that served meals of high quality, nothing like "pub food" at all. It was a pleasure to stay there!

Sited right in the main street of Atherton these rooms do not feel like pub accommodation. Spacious and with a large bathroom and new carpets the room was a delight. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were excellent, very helpful and made an effort to say that we could get an extra 10% off our meals in the dining room.

I walked into the hotel not knowing if I would be able to get a room. My work schedule wasn't set in stone, I could only try to get a room as I arrived in town. The guest services was fantastic. She helped me with everything that I needed. My room was clean and tidy. Dinner was great, the service was amazing, and everyone was very friendly. A 10% discount was offered on dinner just for staying in the hotel.
The hotel is also right on the main street, I was able to walk to the Crystal Caves to get a geode. No matter the reason or the season, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you all for the great stay.

This is a great option for a central Atherton stay. Located in the main street of Atherton, the rooms and bathrooms are modern and well designed. They do have a bit of a chain hotel feel – with minimalist furnishings and storage space. The amenities are minimal too – no hairdryer, no washcloth and only very basic tea-making facilities, but the daily housekeeping is a plus. Parking spaces are a bit of an issue, there’s a couple of small carparks behind the hotel (which were always full) and parking in the laneway behind the hotel. There’s a guest laundry on site but it was out of action during our stay. You can have dinner at the hotel (free drink on arrival and 10% discount), otherwise there are plenty of other alternatives within walking distance.

Jake the manager was very accommodating and friendly. Great service in the bistro, Nick the chef cooked us a mouthwatering steak and came out for a chat. The room was huge, had a smart TV and the bed was soooo comfortable. Highly recommended all round.

This hotel is exactly what you want in pub accommodation. The rooms are large and very clean. There was even had a large bathtub to soak in. The beds were very comfortable and there was an older-style (but adequate) flat screen TV. It was very good value for this price range.

I arrived after the reception desk had closed but 2 staff went out of their way to get me checked in and into my room. The staff and service throughout my stay were fantastic. Always smiling and always helpful. The room was surprisingly large and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean and had everything I needed. Water in the shower was nice and hot, though the shower head was a bit too low. Plenty of powerpoints in handy locations for charging or using electronic devices. Overall a nice comfortable stay and as I travel through regularly, will definitely be staying again.

A great welcome at reception, a nice big room with a balcony looking out over the high street, hot water, good wifi, fridge and large bathroom, all for less than 100 bucks. What was there not to like? The pub was friendly and although suffering from COVID restrictions, managed to put on a reasonable menu.
The hotel was on the high street and everything was walkable. The sort of place that underlines the friendly Queensland it represents.
