We spent a wintry weekend on the peninsula, mostly hiking, and it was such a pleasure to rest and put our feet up in our room at this motel. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Great location - the beach is just across the road. A longer stay at a different time of year would have seen us enjoy the barbecue and outdoor dining facilities.

We stayed at unit 4, 6 Nerrin St, Capel Sound, VIC 3940. This is a nice, clean and spacious property and we enjoyed staying here before returning to India. One bedroom on the ground floor with bathroom and two bedrooms with bathrooms on the first floor. It has a comfortable living room with dining table and a tv. Also has barbecue arrangements and a dining table to go with it. We visited a few beaches and some local hotels. All nice and clean.

The Rye Beach Motel is a standard roadside motel which was clean and comfortable. The bed was satisfactory along with the bathroom & shower. The motel is a few Km's out of town but has a great little all day restaurant right next to it. It had great coffee and even better food (not too expensive)
Bus stop out the front services Rye & Sorrento.
A good budget option for if visiting the Peninsula.

Quiet Hotel just opposite the beach and 2.9 km from Rye. We found the rooms a little old but functional and the bed was plush. Rooms were very clean and as we only stayed one night it was enjoyable and we will be staying here again when we are down this way.

Stayed here when we were in town for a wedding. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were old but clean, and the bed was comfortable. I felt that $120 per night was a little on the steep side for such basic accommodation but overall the motel itself is fine. Great little cafe on the corner too. Would stay again.

Spending a recent Saturday night at the Rye Beach Motel was our last resort as everywhere else in Rye seemed to be booked out but we weren’t disappointed.

It was only the reverse-cycle air conditioner, flat screen TV and (average) free Wi-Fi that gave away it is 2017; otherwise stepping inside our motel unit was like a journey back to the early 1970s. That’s not a complaint, we enjoyed the nostalgic feel and our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Plus it was inexpensive ($130 per night for a queen bed room) compared to every other accommodation option in Rye.

The motel is about 2kms from the centre of Rye (about a 30 minute walk) but just across the road from the beach. If you’re only staying a night or two and/or looking to save a few dollars this would be a good option for you.

We went as a village outing. Pleasant venue, the food was okay, garlic prawns, service caring, but, as always happens we were stuck at a back table. Why do they do that to group bookings, always far away from windows & view (if any)'very disappointing! Feel, very second class citizens!

Stayed for 1 night at the Rye Beah Motel during our trip to the Great Ocean Road and then on to Philip Island. Initially had difficulty finding low cost ,self contained accommodation in this area, so was happy find this motel for $120 a night.
The motel and rooms are quite old, but was clean and comfortable, service was fine. Quite happy overall.

We were on a self-drive tour around the coast from Sydney to Adelaide. We arrived about 7.30pm with no reservation. The only other motel nearby appeared full. This place seemed a bit run down, about 40 years old, partly renovated. Bathroom had been renovated and was OK, bed was comfortable. Next morning it appeared we had been the only guests that night. Cost AUD90.

Soon after we arrived we managed to get a lovely meal, reasonably priced, at a little restaurant on the next corner before they closed for the evening.

It's a very nice motel and perfect to visit around Mornington Peninsula, the room was very clean and with all the basics you need to spend a nice weekend. The only complain I could do is that we spend 2 nights so from Saturday to Monday morning, on Sunday we stay out all day visiting around, when we arrive at 6pm we were expecting a clean room again like empty bins, clean towels and new dishes (as there wasn't a big sink to wash them) but we just found everything the same.
