For $500 a night we were expecting perfection - especially with the 5 star reviews. We stayed in the Rome villa - this is on the bottom and whilst a partially nice view it is blocked by a tree and obscured by the support beams holding up the sea container above- not a big deal nor in their control - just an observation. The two problems for us - there is no shower and the bed. The decor is beautiful. I loved the fairy lights around the roof of the bed too. The bath is also luxurious. But as I said there is no option for a shower however it has one of those hand held things. Pretty impossible for an extremely tall man - the sight was hilarious and he was not impressed. The bed - whilst it’s furnishings were divine the bed had no support - we sunk into the bed ( I am 60kg so no not overweight). My partner slept half the night on the couch both nights greatful we were going home the second day as the back pain was unbearable. It is also on a main road and not secluded as you might assume from the photos. Super disappointed as it is very expensive for what it is. I can’t comment obviously on the other villas and I did have a friend who stayed in the villas on top who raved about it but I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Rome villa to anyone. I do believe the rooms above have showers...unsure what was complimentary also - there was a bottle of wine and some minimal breakfast items there however we didn’t know what we would have to pay for. Also the tv - we had to google how to use the remote and turn up the volume - hilarious took us thirty minutes 🤣 there is an explanation around this in the book but being non technical savvy we still didn’t understand 🤣 we were trying to tilt the whole remote instead of just push the button upward - mind you the buttons volume picture had also been rubbed off the remote. Appreciated the food recommendations in the book also.…
Clifftop at Hepburn has to be one of the most beautiful accommodations that I’ve been to - absolutely luxury, comfort and style. Dave was very friendly and a delight - highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Daylesford
Thank you Dave and Mani for a beautiful stay. Attention to detail was fantastic and the high quality linen, towels and technology certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Arriving to a warm room with music playing was so welcoming after a long drive. Highly recommend to anyone wanrinf to visit spa country. We are already planning our next trip 💛
We had a lovely stay in the Paris villa at Solitude Villas. The decor is gorgeous, the views are stunning and the hosts are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to check out some of the other villas. I have my eye on the one with the giant swing. Paris had a huge bathtub with a view, a massage chair and lots of nice features. We are local so know all that this region has to offer but for those who aren’t, it’s a beautiful region so whether you choose to stay in your digs or explore - you won’t be disappointed. We went out for dinner one night and had take out delivered another. You are spoilt for choice on food options. If I could change one thing it would be that the bed was a bit soft for me but that’s just personal preference and you can’t please everyone with mattress firmness. The linens and pillows were great. Thanks for some much needed R&R…
I’ve stayed in two different apartments here, Venice and Evoke, and they are both stunning. This last stay was in Evoke which accommodates four with two gorgeous bathrooms and bedrooms. A beautiful little slice of the world with everything you need to be comfortable. All apartments have their on little quirk to make it more unique. Makes you want to see them all! Love it.
